Hotel excellent location for a weekend in Exeter. I do not think they should charge residents to the hotel to park in the car park.
This hotel was the venue for our wedding. All of the hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and pulled out all the stops to make sure the wedding went without a hitch. The facilities were excellent and the location to the city centre and the gorgeous quayside couldn't be better. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel. The only faults i could find was in a couple of the older style bedrooms, but as the hotel are rennovating them this is only a minor detail and residents had to pay rather alot for car parking. All our guests agreed that their stay at the hotel was an enjoyable and would return if they returned to Exeter.
So glad you had an enjoyable time with us! We very much appreciate the feedback and we hope to see you again soon.
Feel that Hotel prices should include free car parking
Many thanks for letting us know your thoughts. In 2009 we introduced car parking charges to bring us inline with the rest of the city centre hotels in Exeter.
With kind regards,
We booked two of the superior rooms for just one Sunday night with the intention of giving our youngest son and daughter in law a break from young children, sadly the child minding arrangement fell by the wayside due to ilness and we then had to take the children along. We explained this to the reception and they were great,no problem,we will have two single beds in place,no extra charge and no charge for breakfast,I call that excellent service. The problem began when we entered the rooms, they were very cold and the central heating was out of order,we phoned down to reception and shortly a couple of small electric heaters were delivered to the rooms,it has to be said that they were pretty useless and having informed them of this we were then moved from floor 3 to floor one where the difference in generel warmth was marked, somethin of a hassle moving all our bits and pieces, but that is more by way of an observation than a complaint. My only beef was the fact that the bathroom in our own room was in the form of a wet room for disabled guests, with a mighty chilly tiled floor throughout and no form of heating, showering became a very speedy affair! All in all we like this hotel, the staff, particularly in reception were very good,it is very child friendly, the breakfast was OK if a tad slow in replacing empty servery dishes, and we had no problems with paying for the car park which is pretty normal for city centre hotels. Will we use this hotel again? You bet!
Thanks for leaving your thoughts here. The team and I are glad that you enjoyed your stay, and we’ve taken note of your comments. Rest assured we will address them.
