Stayed at 4 person smaller lodge, for one week. Great base to visit family and see Devon and Cornwall. Clean and cosy lodges, we felt right at home! Partner loved the golf course, tough but good. Restaurant great for breakfast and lunch. Would definitely return. Cheaper to go direct via Fingle Glen to book.

Recently spent a four night holiday here with my partner in the VIP lodge (with hot-tub). The lodges are on the grounds of the Fingle Glen Golf Hotel. Location was very easy to find just off the A30 - road noise could be heard slightly from the grounds but we couldn't hear it from the lodge itself, and the A30 allowed it to be a fantastic base to explore dartmoor and devon.
The golf hotel has a nice bar and a great restaurant where we ate the first night.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the lodges were clean, warm and comfortable and the hot tubs were private and not overlooked. Would definitely stay here again if coming back to Devon.

Room Tip: VIP lodge has hot-tub

Was here for 4 nights for a mini break with my wife & stayed in a lodge with a hot tub. which was well appointed and spacious .Nice and quiet apart from a distant noise of the A30 ,but didn’t hear anything in the evenings. A good location for us to visit Mid & South Devon. Reception staff friendly & helpful .Had a bar meal/lunch at the Golf club restaurant on site, i.e. Vardon’s & this was excellent in quality & taste with good service. I agree with a previous contributor that the TV‘s are a bit small, but you get used to it. Lovely powerful shower & hot tub .The double bed was very comfortable & gave us a good sleep each night. Would go back.

Just spent a week here with my wife and children and was very surprised by the peace and quiet and the overall feel of the place. The hot tub was an added bonus on a great centrally located location. Only gripe is area for the kids to play would be a bonus, and also our sat-nav did not know about the exit off the nearby dual carriage way.

Room Tip: Go for VIP with a hot tub.

My girlfriend and I stayed the Dartmoor Edge Lodges in Belvedere during May 2009 and couldn't fault it.

The lodges are not very old and build to such a high standard, the kitchen/lounge area was spacious with decking where we ate tea at most nights and was very bright.

The sofa and bed were both very comfortable and the shower was great, we both like powerful showers and the one here was certainly that!

Both bedrooms were spacious with plenty of towels and storage space, the en-suite in the main bedroom had everything you needed.

Location was great, very near to the A30 (you can experience faint noise from this but nothing to concern yourself with) which connects Dartmoor National Park to Exeter with Newton Abbott not too far away either - we happened to be staying over a Bank Holiday so you could have walked quicker on the A30 but never mind!

I suppose if I have to find a fault it may be that the TV wasn't very big and was hard to see whilst sat on the sofa but we barely spent any time watching TV so it didn't bother us.

Overall, was a very pleasing romantic break and one we would return to again without doubt.
