“Great bed and good price”
Reviewed February 7, 2013 via mobile

Comfortable and the food is adequate. Staff are very polite and I think you get good value for money here. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice. No complaints whatsoever. Coffe is excellent as it is costa plus choice of pillows, soft or not so!

Stayed here for three nights on upper floor, room 506, which had a great view. Room was warm comfortable and had everything I needed. Friendly staff. Only complaints are about the cheap and nasty toilet paper and the extortionate price they expect you to pay to use wifi... when nearly everywhere else in the city has it free, thats just a rip off. I would stay again though as luckily I had good signal on my phone so didnt need wifi. Didnt eat here so cant comment on that.

Room Tip: Upper Floors best, 5th if you can get it, traffic is still a little noisy if you have the window ope...

The hotel is very clean and in a great location. The food at the bar was reasonably priced, however the breakfast price was a tad steep. The room was comfortable and the shower was very powerful. Only thing lacking in the room was that it could of done with a fridge.

I have spent a few nights at Jurys Inn Exeter in the last few weeks and it stacks up reasonably well as a location for the business traveller on a moderate expense budget. The hotel is clean, staff are pleasant and efficient and there is a restaurant and bar. The overall impression is of a well run hotel. I have also used the meeting rooms which I have found to be excellent. If you're eating in the hotel I would suggest not setting your expectations too high. The food is perfectly ok but there is a lack of refinement and with some dishes you wonder why doing the simple things seems to be a problem. Strangely the bar food is much better; perhaps they should stick to this. Breakfast is average. The hotel makes a big play of its green credentials which is fine, if a little formulaic and I found having to ask reception to switch the heating in my room on when it was cold and snowy outside to be a bit much.

Stayed 2 nights in mid December for an excellent prepaid internet rate for 3 of us in a family room which comprised a double and single bed. The room was clean and comfortable apart from the too-hard/too small double bed. The bathroom was fine. Don't know why hotels persist with double beds - they are way too small for two adults. It's not a space problem - the room would comfortably allow a Queen size bed (as well as the single) if the bedside chair is moved. So the otherwise excellent Jury's Inn loses a star because of the bed, and also because the coffee at breakfast was dreadful. It claims to be Costa coffee but only available from a machine in a big mug and not Espresso, so was undrinkable in my view. Breakfast was otherwise good, and the staff very friendly.

Apart from the bed and coffee this hotel provided everything we needed for our short stay in beautiful Exeter. Great value, clean, comfortable and in a good central position. We walked a couple of minutes from the bus station when we arrived - very convenient.

Room Tip: Stay on high floor if possible

Was oevr for a rugby match and stayed one night. Roomwas well equipped, clean and totally tiny. Good value though at only 62 pounds for the night and ideal location for games beside bus station and airport bus. Couldn't holiday here due to immense cabin fever but ticked all the boxes for this occasion

Like many other reviewers, I stayed in this hotel whilst part of a large group on a rugby trip to Exeter. It is centrally located, a five minute walk from the centre of Exeter, 5 miles from the airport and a similar distance to Sandy park. Very comfortable beds, decent sized rooms, an excellent shower and an impressive breakfast selection. The bar stayed open until 3am so all things considered this is a perfect spot for a rugby weekend.

Room Tip: If flying in to Exeter airport it would be best to book a taxi to be there to collect you in advance...
