“Rooms good, don't eat in the restaurant”
Reviewed July 5, 2011

Stayed at Jury's Inn Exeter for 4 weeks on business in Jun/Jul 2011. Rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels etc, pretty much bog standard and what you'd expect from a chain hotel. Restaurant however is terrible!! Extortionate prices, wrong food orders sent out from kitchen, burnt food, fly in dinner!! Just diabolical!! Unfortunately, during my stay there were regular tour buses in from Europe and these guests get priority in the restaurant!! The restaurant simply cannot cope with a full hotel!! Eat in town if you can!! Much better places to go!!

I booked a triple room for a Saturday night - less than £23 each. Room was not huge, with one double bed and one single, but it was spotless, quiet, and perfectly adequate as a base. Breakfast was deemed too expensive at £8.50 each, but there are lots of lovely cafes and restaurants withing 5 mins' walk of the hotel. There is a safe pay-and display car park behind the hotel - much cheaper than the overpriced NCP. Overall a great experience and i would recommend the hotel to others.

5 of us stayed in 2 rooms for one night on 16th June. Both rooms were clean, airy, comfy and ours was particularly quiet (something of a rarety these days in any hotel). Reasonably close to the centre of Exeter (5 mins walk). Nice bar area (drinks a little pricey). Didn't want the full buffet breakfast at £8.50 as we had a very early start but spoke with the restaurant manager who said it was OK to have tea/coffee and a bit of toast on the house. Good touch as we'll probably stay here again if ever in Exeter. Customer service at its best. Car park at rear is charged between 8 am and 6pm, free after that.

Stayed here for 3 nights midweek on business, small rooms opposite a multistorey carpark, shower on suite no bath. On a main busy road in Exeter city centre so noisy untill about 11pm, food dull and uninspired and not cheap, breakfast only warm not hot also not cheap @ £8.99.
Lots of places to eat outside of hotel in the city center that offers better value and range.
going back to Premier Inns as better value, and better food.

I booked this hotel for one night with my girlfriend when travelling in Devon. This was an excellent surprise. We paid £53 for one night without breakfast. What really surprised us was the quality of the hotel. Excellent rooms, completely new and very friendly personnel. Was definitely a surprise and I'll stay again at this hotel when visiting Exeter!!

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The hotel was clean, comfortable, centrally located (2 minutes walk from the high street) and value for money. For less than 80 quid per night, you get a modern room with a full English breakfast each morning. Bed was so comfortable that I had trouble getting up! Staff were efficient and polite. A nice touch was the ice machines on each level. Parking options include an open car park behind the hotel or the NCP parking opposite the hotel, where you get 25% off the bill if you present the parking coupon at the front desk. Definitely will stay here again the next time that I am back in Exeter.

This hotel is in the centre of Exeter, near the bus station and Vue cinema, and a short walk to the main shopping area and on to the Cathedral and Quayside. The room was comfortable and a good size, and we had a good night's sleep without being disturbed - always a bonus!
