For the reasonable price the hotel was perfect for a city centre break. Everything was fine, staff helpful, room clean and functional. The one thing that is clearly inappropriate is the crazy charge for wifi! Why??

Easy to find. Great parking right behind the hotel. Parking costs, but is quite cheap. Nice lobby. Service was good, although there was a very snobby guy who checked us in.

Corporate standard hotel. Better than expected. Good value for money. Very nice rooms. We had a large room with two double beds. Breakfast was mediocre.

Walking distance to centre of city (5 mins). Can walk to the quay easily as well. This is about 15 mins. Nice city to walk around.

Centrally located and good value for money. Rooms clean and well appointed although double beds are small when compared to equivalent hotels. The self service breakfast was ok but nothing exceptional unlike our previous visit. Bar drinks were expensive as is usual in chain hotels.

We chose this hotel because of its low cost and proximity to the bus station. If I were to go to Exeter again I think I would look elsewhere. They did allow a fairly early check-in. But at check-in, we immediately got the impression that the hotel was going to squeeze every penny possible out of us. The receptionist suggested breakfast, and, when we declined, suggested that she add another £30 on our credit card in case we decided to eat there. Our room was very tiny but certainly clean. The sink in the bathroom was cracked, the shower poorly designed, and I had the impression they were not used to guests from overseas (i.e. no face cloths - I've noticed that UK hotels which are more used to international travelers almost always provide them nowadays). Internet access was expensive, suggesting they would like to have business travelers and not leisure travelers - but most everyone has free wireless these days. There was no easy check-out either - credit card had to be re-presented. And here's another odd thing: they asked if we wanted to pay in pounds or Canadian dollars. We prefer to pay in pounds and let the bank do the exchange - we get a better deal that way. But they ended up setting it up in dollars anyhow. Overall it was not an awful experience, but not a great one either. Luckily we were only there for one night.

Arrived without a reservation at 9pm, having rejected a crummy B&B @ £55. Rate of £59 was non-negotiable but the staff were accommodating and the room I was shown above average so I checked in. You get a comfy double and a single bed, bath with shower over, good TV, air con and good bedding in all bedrooms. Downstairs, food was served until 10.30pm. Overall, I was very impressed, having paid more for less many times in the past.

Service at this hotel was terrible. Rooms were pokey and poorly ventilated/heated. Like other reviewers, we were promised things that never materialised (early check-in, smoking room). I think they say Yes to everything in advance to get your money! it may offer some of the cheapest rooms in Exeter, but I would gladly pay more and stay elsewhere (we were travelling on to Plymouth next day, and there we had one of the best and most friendly hotels I have ever stayed in) - will make the drive south next time. And will never stay in any Jurys Inn again - why do they think they can get away with treating guests like dirt?

This is a standard business traveller hotel. Clean and efficient. Friendly staff.

Cannot comment on the restaurant as we didn't eat on site.

Close to Exeter city centre - good for a night out and for meetings.

There is no on-site parking, although there are discounts on the car park on both sides of the building. (At the time of writing Blue Badge holders could park for free in the Exeter Council car park at the rear of the hotel)
