Myself and my husband stayed here with four friends for the Easter weekend. What can I say. Very pleasantly surprised! A stunning idyl in a lovely remote spot. We had such a glorious time. We had no idea that the owners would put so many lovely touches into the coach house it certainly was a home from home. Lovely room, comfy bed, well positioned TV and a lovely power shower!
They had supplied toiletries, towels, bathrobes, milk, orange juice even Prosecco and choccies and a big cake to share!!
We had a lovely BBQ and managed to flounce our way into the hot tub every evening. Plastic glasses supplied!!
This is a lovely area, lots of shops and a big Tesco nearby for stocking up. We visited Sidmouth which was stunning. We would definitely stay again.
Thanks to Gary and Karen!
The cottages are situated in a beautiful location with fantastic far reaching views, have been converted, and furnished to the very highest of standards, and equipped with everything you would possibly need for a carefree stay. The Queen size bed that we had was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, and all the rooms are very spacious and tastefully decorated. The hot tub on a starry night with a glass of wine was the icing on the cake. Thanks to Gary and Karen, who are the perfect hosts, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be booking up again soon.
We stayed here with two other couples in January. Gary and Karen (the hosts) were extremely welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, they even offered us all a lift to and from the local pub!
The property is beautifully furnished and decorated and all three large double bedrooms have excellent en-suite facilities. Our bedroom had floor to ceiling windows with stunning views across the countryside. Even the hair dryer provided was amazing!
The large sitting room is very welcoming and comfortable with plenty of room for us all to relax.
The extremely well equipped kitchen was a joy, with a large dining table giving plenty of room for us to dine together.
All in all we can't recommend it highly enough and look forward to going back in the summer.
A group of us stayed for a friend's wedding - nine adults and a little one - and took over two of the cottages for a couple of nights. Gary and Karen and wonderfully welcoming and brimming with helpful suggestions. The cottages themselves are absolutely lovely - well kitted out with everything you need (including the kitchens), luxurious bedrooms and ensuites and cosy lounge spaces. I was the unpaired adult amongst us and so took the sofa to sleep on, and even that was so comfy! The setting is perfect if you want to get away from it all - high on a hill with breathtaking views and some lovely walking nearby. Top tip 1: take a dip in the hot tub as the sun sets and you'll be rewarded with a truly relaxing and peaceful experience. Top tip 2: it's quite out-of-the-way and a bit of a maze to get there, so take it easy down the tiny lanes!
