“Used to be 'Puccino's' - now is 'Binelli's'....not as good as a few years ago...”
Reviewed January 15, 2012

I can't leave a review under the new name as it's not registered with Tripadvisor, so am having to leave it under Puccino's. I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. The friendly owner who ran the business under Puccino's took over the franchise and re-named it Benelli's a while ago...so in essence it should be the same as before.

And, I have to admit it did stay the same for a while as it was the same owner, chef's etc running it. So, I visited with my mum this week after not having been there for quite a few months, and I was disappointed with the quality of the food for the first time. The staff are friendly & attentive - no criticisms there. I ordered the dish I normally order when I visit - a vegetarian dish (And I'm not vegetarian but order it as it's always been so good) that is tagliatelle with roasted vegetables....
The good old days were pasta with a nice portion of chargrilled onions, mixed coloured peppers, courgettes & other veg in a lovely tomato sauce.... This week I had a generous portion of pasta but the roasted veg was a huge disappointment! A few bits of dried up courgette the size of a 5 pence piece (not slices), green pepper & red onion. There was no discernable sauce...very disappointing at £7.95! Wow, what a difference to a few years ago, how this gorgeous dish has gone down hill. Just all pasta and hardly anything else, the veg has reduced by 75%...it was tasteless.

I felt embarrassed as I recommended eating there to my mum and she paid for the meal....

Don't know if I want to return now....

“Great little coffee shop - good spot for weekend breakfast”
Reviewed September 20, 2011

(This place is now called Binelli's, but its still the same..)
This is a great little coffee shops tucked away by the cathedral yard. Staff are friendly and food and coffee are good. Love this place for the occasional spot of weekend breakfast, particularly good offer is two coffees and six mini pastries for £4.50 which is great value and a really good breakfast for two.

This restaurant has changed its name to "Benelli's" but the food and service is still as good as all the previous reviews indicate.

“Great for a Hangover!”
Reviewed June 8, 2010

This little restaurant/cafe is pretty quirky. The biscuits and sugars have funny writing on them and at one point so did the walls. There's a large variety of dishes to choose from including pastas, salads, pizzas, ciabatas, burgers, and all-day brunch. The breakfast/lunch special is by far my highest recommendation. For around a fiver you get a lot of good, English breakfast food. Soaks the hangover feeling right up.

Also great for a casual cool drink with friends in the afternoon.
