Had a lovely lunch, super child friendly. Just a bit disappointed that we could taste the sea but not eat any fish as its not on the menu!

Quirky with it's unique atmosphere and identity, Alfs should be on everyone's list for breakfast ! Tasty food, freshly cooked in front of your eyes, good portions and great value ! Eat in or on the outside terrace - it's popular with locals and tourists alike and therefore gets very busy.....but the potential 10 minute queue is worth the wait - you'll love it ! Buzzin'..........

We dropped in for lunch. There is covered outside seating, a mixture if tables for two and four, as well as inside tables. It was very busy and the staff were very friendly and helpful and helped us find somewhere to sit. The inside area had a rustic, quirky, relaxed with a friendly atmosphere. You find somewhere to sit then go to the counter to order your food. There is plenty to choose from on the menu from scrambled eggs with smoked salmon to cooked breakfasts, toasties, baguettes and sandwiches, and more.

We ordered steak and mushroom baguettes which arrived after a short wait, the steaks and mushrooms were cooked fresh. They came with a small salad and were delicious with plenty of filling and at £6.95 we thought were good value. We had dessert which was a bread and butter pudding made from pain au chocolat and was heaven on a plate.

They are open 7an to 2pm 7 days a week and are the perfect place for breakfast or lunch. This was a real find and we will be back when next in town.

A pleasant surprise to find a place which looks a bit like a hippyish whole-food cafe from the street turning into an Aladdin's cave of breakfasty loveliness once you go through the tarpaulins into the arched and atmospheric interior. Wonderfully friendly and welcoming staff, great coffee and very well-cooked breakfasts made with quality ingredients but still at reasonable prices. A mix of tourists and local regulars (always a good sign) and all ages from senior couples through to young families (children are very welcome and extremely well-looked after - colouring books, maps, games etc). Very impressed, one of the best cafes for breakfast / brunch that I've eaten in, due to the ingteresting choices on the menu, the quality of ingredients and the friendly and welcoming service, all contributing to a lovely atmosphere and an all-round excellent experience.

I hadn't been here for years. The return visit didn't disappoint. It is still as quirky and interesting as ever. The perfect venue for breakfast or brunch.
It was a very mild and warm October day, so quite stuffy inside, but we were fortunate enough to find an almost alfresco table in the covered outside terrace area.
The coffee offered excellent value for money and the Alf Resco atmosphere is - as ever - unrivalled.
A must for brunch!
