Impeccable food, beautifully presented, lots of elements to each dish and just delicious. Simon and Aga the hosts were interested in each of the customers, offering advice and help in choosing. The meals all have a Polish influence so everything tastes just a little different which makes for a very enjoyable experience. Good choice of beers and wines, the Zinfandel arose was delicious! Lovely sociable evening topped off by having a guitarist playing throughout, keeping us entertained remembering the names of the songs! Wish we had eaten here the evening before as well.

We'd visited before for lunch and wanted to come back for dinner but didn't hold out much hope as we had a friend with a dog with us, but Simon was happy to accommodate so long as we didn't mind a table 'out the back'. This seemed very fair so we smuggled the dog past the front of house and happily sat down to make our choices. Again I had the smoked duck salad, which didn't come with the cheese and walnuts this time, but the hake main more than made up for any disappointment. The fish was a generous square portion, golden crust on the outside, hot and fluffy on the inside. My friends were very jealous even though they enjoyed their own meals too.

This is one of those friendly places you dream of stumbling across. We went on a Saturday evening and besides the now customary fresh food beautifully prepared, we were treated to James playing his acoustic guitar in the background. Simon and Aga were the perfect hosts. Keep it up both, we'll be back to check on you!

We enjoyed our lunch well prepared fresh and tasty, mussels were excellent and smoked duck and strawberry salad enjoyable. Well looked after by the owner, and I think this is a place to go in the evening when it will no doubt be buzzing, lunchtime lacked a bit of atmosphere, just two couples.

This restaurant continues to maintain the high-standards set when it first opened. The menu has been honed and continues to offer something different from the other local restaurants.

Three of us ate a three-course meal washed-down by a well-selected bottle of wine for just over £100. The food was well-cooked and excellently presented. The service was friendly, professional and unpretentious. I will certainly be visiting again.

In my view, the high-ratings posted by other contributors to this site are well-deserved.
