“still as good as ever!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013 via mobile

we returned again for a short break and really liked jaks the new owner who has kept to the high standards of previous owners. the breakfasts were great . my only niggle would be that there were no cakes or biscuits in room as promised on website. we will definitely be back when we next visit dartmouth.

We spent a long weekend in Dartmouth last week and stayed here in the Victoria Room. The room was very well equipped - including shower gel/shampoo etc as well as a good size fridge stocked with fresh milk and water daily. The shower was lovely - plenty of space and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful and served by Jaks, the owner, who is very friendly. Less than a five minute walk to the centre of Dartmouth - would thoroughly recommend that you stay here - we'll be back!

We recently spent a few days in Dartmouth staying at the Victorian House. Although this was our third visit it was the first time we had met the new owner Jaks who was very friendly. We were in the Victoria room which is very light and comfortable. The en suite has a super walk in shower, and the water stays at a constant temperature.
The lovely hot breakfast was cooked to order and very enjoyable.
Highly recommended, and we hope to return again.

We had the penthouse suite, which was beautiful, big, and modern. The bathroom was very large; the sink had a single tap, but there were no shelves for toiletries. There was both a bath and a shower. The water was very hot. The room was comfortable and quiet. The B&B is on a main street, so do not use the GPS or SatNav instructions on how to get there. You WILL be sorry if you do. The streets recommended are about 6 1/2 feet wide and have lots of turns. Look at a paper map. Come in from the river along Victoria Road and turn right on Vicarage Hill; the B&B is right at the corner with parking directly in front of it. Jaks was very friendly, as was her great dane, who you might see if you are lucky.

first impresssions count and this luxury b&b did not let us down, the room had a large double bed and looked absolutely lovely and the bathroom was literally spotless and the power shower was a real bonus everything you could want was here dressing gowns, toiletries and towels were clean and fresh and there was plenty of wardrobe spaces and even a choice of teas and coffee and hot chocolate was all there and a bottle of spring water! the owner jacx, was warm and friendly and theres a added bonus of meeting "scooby doo" aka roxie the great dane and she was good as gold.
your only a few mins walk from the restaurants and pubs and ferries and its a very picturesque town to visit. the breakfast was plentiful choices of fresh fruit.cereals and the marvellous full english was delicious !
staying here was a real pleasure and this place is one you would love to return to again and again...

Room Tip: any room here would be great

We stayed for one night in the Penthouse Suite to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The B and B was easy to find with the instructions given on their website and there was ample free parking right outside. We received a warm welcome from the owner. It is an easy level walking distance down to the harbourfront.

The Penthouse Suite was huge with a lovely bathroom but we also took a peek in one of the other rooms on our way out as the people had left and it looked equally as nice but obviously smaller as the suite takes up the whole top floor of the building.

Breakfast was taken in the lovely bright dining room which was open plan to the kitchen where the owner and her sister prepared a delicious breakfast served piping hot.

If I ever return to Dartmouth I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Fantastic central location with parking. Stayed in the Penthouse Suite which was enormous! Jaks was a great hostess and made us feel very welcome. Fabulous cooked breakfast and delicious homemade bread and nut bars. We would recommend the Victorian House and will stay again when we return to Dartmouth
