“Amazing food, and a warm welcome”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

It was lovely old pub with lots of character. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Being a chef myself i thought the Menu was well presented and to put it Frankly made my mouth water at the sight of it. The food was lovely and fresh and so full of flavour. All i can say if anyone is visiting Dartmouth then please take an afternoon to visit The Seven Stars and enjoy home cooked food and a wonderful atmosphere.

“Very disappointing!”
Reviewed March 5, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I are very shocked to see all the recent good reviews on the seven stars. We visited over the New Year period, to find the aftermath of an apparent fight amongst drunken locals. We had a quick drink and browsed the very uninspiring menu. We chose not to dine. Staff were not very friendly and we were jeered by other drinkers as we left. Safe to say I don't think we will return!

“Wonderful food and friendly staff!”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

I came in for lunch, late on a Monday afternoon with a friend and had a truly enjoyable meal! I had a wonderfully cooked homemade burger, full of taste, with homemade chips while my friend had a lovely fresh tasting fish and chips! The lady behind the bar (possibly the owner or manager) was so friendly and catered to our every need. Very nicely decorated and very cosy! This is a pub definitely worth venturing up the back streets of Dartmouth to find, for some lovely food, ale and beers and service with a smile! We will be back soon! Thankyou

“best scotch eggs ever”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

We wanted a small snack for lunch and had the good fortune to stumble across the Seven Stars.
Not just a friendly local pub but the scotch eggs were simply to die for. We went back for more the next day!

“Fantastic food, staff, everything....”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

We live in Dartmouth and cannot believe our luck since the new owners took over last year. They are so welcoming and friendly. The prices are very reasonable and they have transformed the decor. But the food.....their son Jamie is a brilliant chef who has trained with some top people, and it shows. All the food (down to the pork pies, scotch eggs, horseradish sauce) is 100% home-made and absolutely delicious. The Sunday lunch is without a doubt the best we have had. You cannot be in Dartmouth and not visit! Congratulations to Martyn, Becky and all the family and staff for making it a lovely place to be.
