We booked places on the tour at the TIO and were glad we did as on the Weds it poured down so two hours indoors was very welcome. The arrangements were very good and the tour guide knowledgeable if a little patronising and inappropriate with his language on occasions. The ability to tour a working naval college was a fascinating insight into how the naval officers of the future are trained, as well as learning a lot about the history of the building and its former students' careers. An absolute must do if in Dartmouth. Highly recommended.

If you're in or near Dartmouth I would highly recommend you book a tour (via tourist information). The building itself is magnificent with loads of history, the tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly(all members of Britannia Association) We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Open on selected dates during the summer, the college is well worth a visit. It is a wonderful place to look around, full of history and the guides are tremendously knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We greatly enjoyed our visit, not least as our nephew did his training there.
