We stayed here for our anniversary and found it really comfortable with lovely food. All the rooms have views over the river Dart and ours overlooked the ferry and had a balcony we could sit on and take in the view. Dartmouth is a lovely town to explore and we had a great time.

Room Tip: Its worth paying extra for a balcony

First impressions of the hotel outside weren't that inspiring, looks a bit tired, it's not old enough to carry off being classy and not modern enough to look contemporary. Having said that the reception is great and the staff were first rate with their welcome.
Our room was a standard room with a balcany, very modern, sharp and clean, with good views over the marina, although it was small and although didn't have a lot of furniture, did feel a little clostraphobic.
We stayed and had dinner with them built into the price, which was excellent quality, again with great service, matched only by breakfast in the morning.
Overall, ok value for money given location and service. For us the great views and the staff, who were excellent throughout, really make this hotel.

Staying at the Dart Marina over christmas reminds me of what it must be like to live as one of the family in Downton Abbey. The food is amazing, and everything is done for you. You dont have to think about a thing. The most difficult decision of the day is what to wear to dinner. Great value for money, and we have already booked back in for our third year in a row!

Family apartments are great and with access to the swimming pool our young girls loved it. Close to Dartmouth and all of the surrounding country make it a great location. The staff are very helpful and the food looked very good (although we only had one lunch in the hotel) breakfast looked an expensive option. Will return.

Room Tip: Apartments are great for families.

We booked a self catering apartment at the Dart Marina for 5 nights in December. We have always had reservations about self catering accommodation because, in our limited experience, no matter how high the cost, they tend not to be well looked after and somewhat dismal. However, we gave the Dart Marina Hotel apartments a chance because of the hotel's website description.

The apartment turned out to be everything that the hotel promised, and more. The apartment had two boutique style bedrooms, a shower room, and a bathroom. The open plan living area had an exceptionally well fitted kitchen, stocked with refreshments, a flat screen TV, DVD player, and CD player. The technology worked first time, which is not always the case in hotels. Free wifi was provided for the duration of our stay. Furnishings were first class.

Access to the gym and pool was free and the spa treatments were reasonably priced - with an additional discount for residents. An unexpected bonus was the daily room service, which included cleaning, bed making, and removal of kitchen waste. I believe that this is not the norm in self catering accommodation.

All this was provided for the princely sum of £105.00 per night - high quality hotel style accommodation for up to four adults doesn't come much more reasonably priced. The staff were unfailingly helpful and courteous.

My wife and I spent a two night mini break in Dart Marina. We got a good deal on the room (£110 per room per night B&B) and were lucky enough to be upgraded to a room on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the river.

From the moment we arrived we felt pampered. The doorman was excellent and helped us from the car with our bags - we were even offered a glass of Port as we checked in!

The room itself was spacious and nicely decorated with facilities to make your own tea and coffee. My wife booked a treatment at the spa, which she really enjoyed and we both made good use of the (allbeit small) pool, jacuzzi and steam room.

Breakfast was very good. Lots of choice and served until 10am daily. There is also a nice lounge for afternoon teas and coffees.

The hotel is a short walk from the centre of the town (which was good for us as it rained a fair amount during our trip!) and parking is readily available just in front of the hotel. There is a pub next door that is cosy and a nice spot for a drink.

All in all, it was hard to fault. We look forward to visiting again.
