We were going to Annabel's but reviews not good so we tried the Anzac and what a good choice.
Excellent welcome. We decided to share hot Bortsh and melted camembert between four. We all enjoyed the dishes.
Main courses all different.
Choice of 3 desserts. Lemon and lime possett excellent.
Would recommend this restaurant - go there quickly!

Had a great lunch here. Lovely little place tuck away on a side street. Given the Polish owners much of the food has an eastern European twist but combined with local seasonal ingredients. Very friendly staff can't wait to try the evening menu.

This was our second visit to the Anzac.
It is a fabulous place to stay for accommodation and food.
Little touches make it so special and the hosts are accommodating in every way.
You must experience staying here it puts other places in the shade !!!
Easy to get to Blackpool sands a wonderful safe beach for children.
Easy to get to agatha Christies house greenaways.
Steam train to Paignton very civilised and takes you back in time.
We will be back

Room Tip: Any room here amazing

First week of June we stayed in Dartmouth for a few days. i was amazed at so few restaurants being open in the evening. Of the few we did finf this bistro was the star. A young Polish couple are trying their best to make a go of this place, and in my view they should be fully supported.
The food is excellent with a polish twist eg beetroot soup and for myself there was an excellent vegetarian menu - so ususally forgotton by many outlets.
This bistro also provides B+B which I cannot comment on as we did not stay here, however I would recommend it to anyone on the strength of the welcome we received here

I visited Anzac on recommendation from a friend and was pleasantly surprised at the standard we experienced and am left wondering how it took us this long to realise Anzac had changed ownership. I have now had two meals with Simon and Aga now and I have to say that from walking in and making the booking to arriving for our meal, the quality of the food and service were all of a high standard with attention being made to quality ingredients evident even to the standard of olive oil and Balsamic. Being veggie the menu here is a breath of fresh air with a choice of around 6 dishes instead of the token Risotto that most others in Dartmouth seem offer! In addition to the food and service the care and attention has been given to the dining room and facilities resulting in a pleasant experience as a whole.

Well done Simon and Aga I both hope to enjoy your hospitality again soon!

Having recently stayed in the Anzac b + Bistro i have to say how relaxing i found the atmosphere inside, The room was immaculately clean bright and the bed a++ comfortable. Having the ability to make real coffee was a very welcome addition as instant never tastes the same. Simon & Aga couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly which made our stay the perfect opportunity to wind down and relax with my fiancee.

Hi there, I went for a little break for a couple of days and stopped at the Anzac Street Bistro B&B. I was pleasantly surprised how central the location was and how quaint it was all around. The hospitality was very friendly and the rooms were really comfortable and clean. Breakfast was varied in choice and lovely, unfortunately I didn’t get chance to try the Bistro menu as I was exploring, I would have liked to though and will definitely return at a later date as my taste buds have the urge. A great break away! Thank you all, Emlyn.

Room Tip: Owners would, I am sure, kindly accomodate to your needs\wishes.
