Owner description: For a truly out of this world experience, don't miss out on the fun at the Milky Way Adventure Park - recently voted Devon's Large Attraction of the Year. Just 10 minutes outside of Bideford in North Devon awaits a full day of adventure for the whole family come rain or shine. Take a ride on the Cosmic Typhoon roller coaster - enjoy the panoramic views from the top, but prepare to scream as you face the hair-raising drop! Have a close encounter with aliens in the Clone Zone dark ride and take on the huge death slide in the Time Warp - if you dare. The newest addition is an amazing display of Sci-Fi memorabilia - one man's vast private collection of characters, collectables and fan art from film and TV...from Daleks to Darth Vader! There's plenty for smaller adventurers too including the innovative Little Stars play centre designed for babies to pre-schoolers. It has a multi-level soft play area, sensory room for babies, a dressing up area, roll play pizzeria complete with kitchen, tables and food to stimulate imaginative play - and even a pretend car wash with ride-on cars. The park also boasts the UK's largest bouncing pillow, as well as a smaller pillow just for children under five and accompanying adults. One of the parks most popular attractions are the droid destroyer dodgems which guarantee a bumping good time for everyone, including little ones with special gentle rides for smaller visitors. Another favourite is the Time Warp - North Devon's biggest indoor play area, with assault courses and slides built for adults as well as children. To wind down, visitors can take a leisurely trip on the Milky Way railway, and then sit back and enjoy the shows which include Merlin from Britain's Got Talent with his fun packed skills and thrills show and breath-taking displays from the North Devon Birds of Prey Centre. The park also has a 1,000 seat indoor arena, so you can be sure that the show goes on whatever the weather! Alongside this, there's plenty to try your hand at including archery, golf and laser shooting for all the family. With over 110,000 sq feet of indoor fun & acres of outdoor activities, The Milky Way is the biggest all weather, family day out in North Devon. It's designed to be fun for parents as well as kids and there are no hidden extras as all of the rides, shows and play areas are included in the entrance fee. Your adventure awaits you - are you ready?

“Good day out”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

Good place to take children of all ages. Lots to do. The really good thing is that most of the rides, including the roller coaster and bumper cars, are included in the price of entry, so they can go on them as often as they like. Both of these were very popular with our 6 year old Grandson. He also loved the archery (costs extra) and the indoor play area. Most things are on ground level, apart from the cafe which is up some stairs. Not sure if there is wheelchair/pushchair access to this, so it would be best to check before going. However, in the summer, I think there is another ground level cafe open.

“a great family winter/spring day out”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

4 adults and 6 kids, attended during Feb half term.
half price entry as winter season mad this a good value day out as was not over packed so not much/nil waiting.May not be such good value in summer if full price and busier, but as long as your willing to wrap up and get on witth it what ever the weather it cant be knocked.
I must state how impressed I was with the staff, all very family friendly and spoke to the children in a lovely patient manner. The man running the dodgems was lovely and i liked how he happily did a slower turn for the littler children. The staff in the fun house area were lovely also. The staff were a credit to this place. it isnt disney world, but your not paying for that! just remember to wrap up well, or head for the blach hole slides - you'll soon warm up, adults and all!

Potentially this park could be very good, unfortunately due to the time of year not much was open but we intend to return in the summer and hope to participate in more of the attractions.

“Great birthday treat for young boys”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

We pre-booked a birthday party here with friends. Its local but we hadn't been before. Being February, we didn't expect everything to be open. The roller coasters would have been working but it was sadly too windy on that day. The boys quickly found the big indoor play area and stayed there for much of the morning. Its great for 5-6 year olds. We also found the dodgems, and liked that the children had a group ride together as its was a booked party, and that they had sessions aimed at the smaller children, with less bumping. They went on these several times. The Clone Zone was fun, just scary enough for 5 year olds! The museum was quite educational too, particularly enjoyed by the dads and tractor enthusiasts. We were very well looked after at the birthday lunch and the boys all thoroughly enjoyed their day. We didn't try the archery, and the shows were not running, but we will return when they are! There is so much to do, I'd recommend it for a great day out. All credit to the staff who without exception were friendly and helpful. Thank you!
