“Super week away”
Reviewed February 16, 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Found purely by chance. What a great find it is. Plenty space for 2 adults and 2 children plus one dog, huge enclosed gardens. The view is stunning and there is a lovely pub within driving distance.
The kitchen is well equipped. There is a wood fire however the cottage is so warm it wasn't needed. We had the doors open the rooms are so warm. Very clean and looked after. We will definitely be back. Thank you Freddie.

“Lovely cottage, beautiful location, wonderful stay”
Reviewed November 7, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Just returned from a wonderful week staying in the charming Jubilee cottage at Greengill Holidays in Morland, which is perfectly situated between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. it is very rare that holiday accommodation lives up to expectation, but in this case it totally did. The cottage was very clean, tastefully decorated and well equiped, the fresh cut garden flowers on arrival was a welcoming touch. It was nice to know the owner, Freddy, was on hand if there were any problems, but otherwise we were left to enjoy the peace and quiet of the lovely setting. Morland is a wonderful village and I can highly recommend the Millyard Cafe, particularly the pizza night on Friday, as well as the a very friendly Crown Inn.

“Perfect Stay”
Reviewed November 2, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We stayed in the Jubilee Cottage during the last week of October 2016. What a great little find!!
Very modern cottage, cosy and comfortable. We loved the fact that the cottage was a nice warm temperature via the heating system that was installed along with the log burner if required. Great facilities for self catering although we could have benefited from a microwave but that's nit picking. First class wi-fi which was an added bonus!!
The cottage grounds are well maintained with lovely views of the surrounding area. We took our Labrador and the grassed area at the back of the cottage was secure enough for him to have a run around without the worry of him escaping!!
The owner, Freddy, was extremely helpful and polite and was on hand for any problems should they arise.
All in all, a great base at an affordable price and will definitely return!

“Brilliant location, wonderful cottage”
Reviewed October 30, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

This is a fantastic little cottage in Morland which is such a lovely village. The cottage has wonderful views and is extremely cosy and modern. I stayed with 3 uni friends (2 in the main bedroom and 2 on the sofa bed which was pretty comfy) and I will definitely be returning to explore more of this wonderful part of the world. Nice one!

Wow. What a beautiful part of the world. The cottage surpassed our expectations - stunning views, cosy, clean, well equipped and a lovely log burner. Freddie, the owner made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. I look forward to returning!

“Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location”
Reviewed October 4, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

The cottage is very clean and furnished to a high standard. The bed was super comfy and the wood burning stove with logs provided is a lovely touch. The village is lovely, but has no shops so make sure you take enough food and drink, at least for the first night.
Plenty of lovely walks from the village, and the cafe/evening bistro served lovely food, as did the pub- both a five minute walk from the cottage.
The owner Freddy was helpful and knows the village and local area well.
My only grumble is that the hot tub is not for exclusive use, something I didn't think was clear from the write up or photos. It is shared with the other cottage and barn. There is a £20 charge for its use, although this does allow two hot tub visits. You need to book it with Freddy.
Overall, we had a fabulous weekend of walking and relaxing with Ulswater only a 20 minute drive away.

Turned up at the cottage. Nobody there. Tried to call owners mobile and landline, no answer. Text message sent, owner replied that they were in Peru. Finally gained access. Rooms were full of mold and damp. Strong smell of mildew. Kitchen poorly equipped, for example only one breakfast bowl. Text to complain, only to be told that nobody else had complained about the mold. As you can see from the photos someone had noticed as they had tried to clean it away. Ended up staying in a holiday cottage nearby. After several messages back and forth, owner finally agreed to pay back some of the money. So, I thought no need for a horrible Trip Advisor Review. Then I got a nasty E-mail and thought I would try and spare anyone else from the same experience.

Management Response
Oct 2, 2016
This lady is an exception. I agreed without hesitation to refund her all her money while I was abroad on holiday and did it immediately on my return including a court fee as she had already started proceedings in court. The rooms are not full of mould and damp, see many other reviews, and we take very seriously any complaints. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bed and sofas are very comfortable. Come and see!
