“A Warm Welcome.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2013

Despite arriving late on a Friday in March for our short weekend break host Jerome was still kind enough to offer us a meal.

The King Arthur's is everything you could wish for from a country pub. Out of season Tintagel was very quiet but, we soon joined the locals in the bar for a pint or two in front of the roaring log fire. For those who fancy it both pool and darts are on offer and the pub has regular quizes.

Our room (No 5) was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Despite being quite "lively" in the Bar we experienced no noise once in our room.

Breakfast was served from 9am. There was a variety of cereals and juices. The Full English was good and they were prepared to cater to invidual needs. E.g. one couple just had bacon sandwiches.

The Inn is ideal for exploring this part of the South West Coast Path.

Despite being out of season the other pubs and eating estabishments in the Village were open for business if you fancy a change.

A bonus is the free to use ATM. Also the Wi Fi in the bar area if you need to keep in touch with the World.

Being keen walkers wet boots can be a problem at this time of year. However, the Inn even has this sorted. On the landing to the rooms is a handily placed boot dryer that will take two pairs of boots at a time. There's also a device to hang gloves and hats on to dry. Our wet boots were dry in just an hour or so and ready for action the following day.

Overall a very relaxing break and ideal if you want to explore Tintagel and District out of the main season.

Upon booking I, received the warmest confirmation email, making me sure I'd made the right choice of where to stay.
After an 8 hour drive, we were not disappointed by the welcome we received and were soon settled in the bar with a pint of ale from Tintagel brewery and a huge plate of fish and chips each.
The staff were very accommodating and friendly, which combined with the wonderful food and very comfortable room, we had a great time. The room was easy to heat up quickly with an extra radiator - very useful after being out in the cold. The lady from housekeeping was especially friendly and shared her knowledge of local places with us - thank you!
I would highly recommend the King Arthurs Arms for both accommodation and food.

I took my grand-daughter to lunch and we had excellant customer service. The food was good, and so was the service. I have given 4* because they only fell down on 1 item but recovered rapidly. We will return again for another meal.

In March my partner booked a 3 night stay at King Arthurs Arms as a suprise for my birthday. When we arrived it was bitterly coid outside but the welcome we recieved at the inn was as warm as the roaring log fire that was burning. Immediatly you are made to feel more like friends than guests. Our room was lovely, with a cosy cottage feel with the beamed ceiling and exposed stone wall.the bathroom was huge and modern and everything was spotless. A lovely cooked breakfast set us up for the day and after some beautifull coastal walks, sitting by the fire with a glass of wine after eating some good pub was the perfect end to the day. All the staff were friendly and nothing was to much trouble. We will definatly be going back.

A perfect place to stay where ALL the staff made us feel very welcome and at home..
The food was plentiful and a good variety to choose from.
The rooms were spacious , clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was good and plenty of it.
Bar staff and waitresses polite and talkative, (especially Billy behind the bar)
All in all it made our wedding anniversary complete,
Thankyou Jerome and crew.

Myself and my husband wanted to visit Cornwall for ages and decided to sped our Christmas break there. We booked at King Arthur's Arms Inn after being convinced by to excellent reviews on the internet. Well I can honestly say that we where not dissapointed. The room was very modern and very clean. Because on Christmas day Jerome gave the day off to his staff, he was very kind in booking another restaurant for us for our Christmas lunch and in the morning he even made sure we had breakfast by asking his dad to come in, just for us.
Service at the pub was superb and excellent food as well. A holiday to remember.

We stayed at the King Arthur's Arms during our stay down in Cornwall and really enjoyed our stay there. Tintagel is a lovely place and we were pleased to get accomodation at the King Arthur's Arms. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The food is good and we sat in the bar and had a few drinks and relaxed! Breakfast was very good and we didn't feel hurried to check out and were able to use the parking facilities until we left to start our journey home. I would definately recommend the King Arthurs Arms if you are planning a stay in Tintagel and we will certainly be returning.
