We were staying at Trewethett Farm Caravan site and were going to attept to walk to Tintagel on our first evening.
The drizzle started halfway down the first hillside and we climbed over past the Rocky Valley path carrying on towards Tintagel. When we reached the top of the hill and realised how far we had left to walk considering the time and the continuing rain we decided to turn back.
Thankfully we chose to walk up Rocky Valley, past the mill towards the road. We decided it would be easier walking along the road in the wet than up the cliffs.
The valley itself is wonderful, so much to look at and see. Following the bubbling river upwards I looked out for the labyrinths on the wall but alas couldn't see them. Spent a little time sheltering in the mill area covered by thick trees.
Rocky Valley is a truly atmospheric place and we were so glad to have visited.

This is a moderately challenging walk, with lots of steps and quite uneven but incredibly exhilarating. Make sure you wear appropriate footwear and sunscreen. Scenery is very varied and quite stunning - Rocky Valley itself is a new spectacle around every bend. We took this route to visit Tintagel Castle, and I cannot imagine a better way to arrive, as the coves and beaches on the way were glorious... and the Cornish tea at the cafe hit the spot.

This path meanders a lot. it has steep climbs, rocks, and some mud (if it's wet) and sand, so you have to be on your toes, but it's worth it. We sat by the sea just watching the waves roll in and out. It was mesmerizing. It's definitely a chill out spot that doesn't see a lot of traffic. Most of the people I saw were quiet and respectful. No noisy crowds here (thankfully), but there were unleashed dogs.

Gorgeous walk out to the sea, past two labyrinths carved into the cliff face behind the old mill. It's a challenging walk beyond the mill, but overly so. Wear good shoes and use a walking pole if you feel at all unsteady. So peaceful and absolutely beautiful.
