Stayed for a 3 night break 5th May. Our room overlooked the sea as do all the guest rooms except for one. It was wonderful to hear the waves crashing on the rocks at night whilst falling asleep. The rooms are on the small side but beautifully decorated and fitted out and have everything you would expect from a decent hotel. The food is delicious with plenty of choice. Great for us being vegetarians as a good variety of veggie food and a great veggie breakfast on the menu too. There was no need to go elsewhere to eat in the evenings. Very relaxing atmosphere and fantastic sitting outside on the benches just taking in the wonderful views. Will definitely return for another stay.

Room Tip: Request a sea view room.

Treated ourselves to a stay on a Saturday night early February. We have visited there before for a drink and lunch, so we knew to expect the terrific view.

However, the quality of the room was fantastic, it was large, airy, spotless and tastefully furnished. Our evening meal was delicious, very good selection at breakfast.

The staff were attentive and good fun. Really looking forward to a long weekend there and taking the dog this time.

Room Tip: When booking there are two larger rooms, we were lucky to have one, room 7 I think.

Fantastic Inn....fantastic views....fantastic food & drink....and dogs allowed too!
The Port William never fails to deliver and despite seeing the Inn grow in popularity over the years, it still retains it's charm and beauty. Always look forward to returning here when visiting North Cornwall. Admire the stunning views of the sea and landscape whilst sitting outside relaxing and chilling with your favourite drink in the sun on a warm day.....can't be beaten.

We visited this pretty inn twice last week & had a great experience each time. The setting is perfect, above the pretty fishing hamlet of Trebarwith Strand. When the tide is out, the beach is accessible, making it perfect to visit with dogs. Our Rottweiler & our friends Retriever had a ball before flopping next to us in the super dog-friendly Port William Inn.
The food is good, with a mixture of daily specials using local ingredients sympathetically, as well as traditional pub fare.
The real attraction is at sunset, when the views are spectacular from the well placed terrace. Amazing & not to be missed.

We stayed here in March 2013 for 3 nights to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary, we had previously stayed here 3 years ago when my husband proposed to me on the headland just across from the pub and have visited the Port William on many occasions for a drink or some lunch. The area and the pub is mine and my husbands favourite place to visit.
We stayed in Room 3 which was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and well presented with one of the best views in Cornwall. The staff as always were really nice and helpful and the breakfast on all three mornings was lovely. We had the vegetarian breakfast and also the smoked haddock with poached eggs, all cooked really well and plenty of it.
The room was cleaned and the tea tray stocked daily with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits.
We had dinner in the pub on 2 nights the first night we had the sea bass with a Mediterranean salad from the specials board which was okay but not great. The Mediterranean salad was a type of ratatouille (not quite what I was expecting) and had been microwaved, it was so hot I had to wait a while before attempting to eat it. The Sea Bass I think was also microwaved as it was the same temperature and was quite soft. Think it would have been much nicer if it was pan fried. On the second night we had Tribute beer battered fish and chips which was cooked really well a large portion and couldn't fault it in any way.
I would recommend this Pub to families and couples looking for a beautiful get away with good pub grub and great service.
A big thank you to the Port William team for making our anniversary even more special and we hope to see you again soon although next time there will be three of us with the arrival of our first child :)

We had a great time during our stay. Larry and Sue (who used to manage our local, back in Torquay oddly enough!) were great hosts, and the location is truly remarkable, with the high tide crashing over the rocks very dramatically. Very romantic spot. Can highly recommend the walk to Tintagel Castle and back.
