We go up to the Church every time we visit Tintagel, which was twice this year. We take paper and book, we sit at the table and read for hours. If it is cold or bad weather we still go up there and sit in the car reading. I love to walk through the graveyard and read all of the stones, when they died, how old etc. You have magnificent views from up there and you can walk for miles. We even go up there to walk down to "the castle" ruins.

The church is small and no ornate like many others but both the inside and graveyard are authentic. Be respectful while in the church but take some time to soak in the atmosphere.

Old Church - plain interior - nice old roof little to see but the walk along the cliff and through the church yard make it worth the visit

A remarkably fine, large parish church with a great heritage and hints of use as a sacred site well before the Saxon/Norman church. On a hot sunny August, this church just a few yards from the coastal path was a haven of coolness made more welcome by a local parishioner who was providing refreshments at a very modest charge. Beautiful stained glass casting wonderful colours in the bright interior.

This is not an easy sight to locate, although you can drive up to it, the road is not well marked. The walk is not too bad, although there are some steep inclines.

The Church itself sits on the cliff's edge with stunning views of the Atlantic.

The cemetery is fairly large, and while most of the grounds appear well kept, there is a large portion that is succumbing to weeds and brush overgrowth. It added a haunting, forgotten feel to the place.

Be advised, that the interior--itself--is not always open for view. Best to call ahead if you want to see the inside.
