“Loved this place”

Absolutely loved this place. We watched people going in and out of this place all week and constantly taking photo's, our room at the King Arthur Inn was dead opposite. We left it till the end of our holiday to visit but I'm so glad we did visit, this 600 year old building was so fascinating inside, we could really imagine what life was like way back when, we also spent a long time in the very pretty garden garden, don't leave Tintagel without going in.

“Pop in and be amazed”

Well worth a visit especially if you are a NT member. Small enough to be interesting and not time consuming. Gardens a delight. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Find out about 'being left on the shelf'!

“lovely place of interest”

If you like the National Trust's smaller places, you'll love the old post office. It has beautifully furnished rooms and a quiet little garden. Worth visiting.

“Step Back In Time”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2012

I have visited here several times before the last visit being about 6 years ago and from what I can remember of that visit very little has changed. This is a great little visit whilst you are in Tintagel and perhaps can combine it with some of the other attractions. Dont set aside too much time as I think you will see everything in under 45 minutes.

We were lucky as it was quite quiet in the Old Post Office during our visit so we were able to move around inside easily. It must be difficult during peak season as the rooms are so small and the stairs so narrow. The paper room guides available in each of the rooms provided a good insight into the room, its uses and history.

To the rear of the property is a quait cottage garden where you can sit for a few minutes and admire the property. Perhaps this is not the grandest of National Trust properties but it certainly does have a lot of character.

“Well worth a look”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2012 via mobile

We popped in after walking to the castle, as NT members seemed silly not to.
What a wondeful little house. Begs belief how the roof hasn't collapsed!
On entry we were given a family guide which my son thoroughly enjoyed and learnt a lot from.
Probably took us only 1hr to look around and play noughts and crosses, was very enjoyable though.
Really is a stunning little building.
