This dog friendly accommodation was absolutely beautiful, well cared for and immaculately clean. The owner Claire, even left milk, coffee, teabags and sugar for us. It had everything you could need for your stay. It is only a short walk to Tintagel, and a 5 min drive to a dog friendly beach - Trebarwith. Will definitely be staying here again in the future.
Hobby’s at Trenale Court Holiday Cottages is the perfect home base for exploring the North Coast. A lovely, easy walk to Tintagel, and within reach of so many beautiful places for day trips.
Our host, Clare, has provided all the amenities anyone could ask for and has been so kind and helpful. She’s thought of everything!
The house is charming: clean, comfortable, and warm, with a full kitchen, three lovely bedrooms, and a large, comfortable living room to relax and visit in.The shower is a pleasure. Plenty of hot water with ideal water pressure. The beds and bedding ensure a good night’s sleep. A lovely, private garden adds space and beauty as well as the option to relax outdoors.
Dishwasher and laundry facilities round out an easygoing vacation.
Couldn’t ask for a better home base on the North Coast!
We booked a week here with our dogs, cottage is clean, warm and has everything needed, laundry room with dvd’s and books to borrow was a good addition if weather was too wet. Had a lovely walk into the village and you can take the dogs into almost every pub/restaurant or shop. Tintagel castle was an experience, suggest not taking dogs if wet though as very steep hills and steps. Paddock at the cottage was great for the dogs to run around freely and the view of the town was stunning. Claire left us a welcome gift of local cider and biscuits, even the dogs got a jar of biscuits.
Would recommend to anyone wanting a lovely dog friendly holiday, a home from home
A friend recommended these cottages to me and I was over the moon to get a week in June- haven’t been to Cornwall for several years and never visited Tintagel. Now I have two dogs and I feel guilt about going away without them this seemed perfect. And it is! The cottage is quirky, pretty with a fabulous kitchen and living accommodation. Split over three levels (not many stairs tho so don’t be put off) it has bundles of character, beamed high ceiling in large lounge area and during the the heatwave the downstairs kitchen and seating area (another sofa) were lovely and cool.
Clare the owner was great - there was an on-site laundry room with dvds and books to choose from and Clare helped me with some beautiful walks including to a very nearby waterfall (nectar st glen) and the rocky Valley. My dogs loved it and the garden (fenced) and the paddock was a lovely safe place to let them off their leads to have a run about.
Coming back? Definitely! Trying to tempt my family to book some of the other cottages too!
Tintagel is an easy walk away and super dog friendly. I’m so glad we know this place! So many repeat visitors too - goes to show how much people love this beautiful location!
We booked our stay at Hobbys as a last minute get away and I must say what an absolute delight the cottage is. The cottage is warm, extremely clean and full of character, well equipped and Clare is always on hand if you need anything. There is a great secure paddock for the dogs to have a good run around. Well located to get to all local areas and Tintagel village is only about a 15 min walk away. The place is so delightful we booked to go back for Christmas 2018 ❄️❄️☃️☃️
