“A beautiful holiday home with everything you could wish for”

When you turn down the road leading to the house you have no idea where you will end up: just a few meters up the hill from Idle Rocks. The rest of the town is in easy walking distance and the view from the living room is lovely: the harbour and St. Anthony's head and all the way across the water to Falmouth.
The living room has bifold doors to the balcony which is equipped with two little tables and four chairs. The cushions for them are in the cupboard under the stairs.
The leather sofas are really comfortable, there are coffee tables, cushions, everything to make you feel comfortable.
Tv, DVD, etc as you would hope, though we thought there was an iPod dock and there wasn't. Fortunately we had brought our own!
The kitchen is very well equipped and normally we would have taken full advantage of it, but we were so tired we just ate out. There is even a stick blender and that's not something you see in most rentals. On the subject of eating out, we didn't go to idle rocks, which was unusual as we used to like staying and eating there, but we looked at the menu on the first day, didn't fancy it, checked for several days but it didn't change. Not a good sign. Anyway, the Tresanton lived up to expectations and we tried two other places: the Watch House and St. Mawes hotel. The latter was extremely good and the upstairs room is truly gorgeous. In particular the lemon and gin cured salmon starter and the lemon curd tart with raspberry sorbet....yum. The main was a special of belly of pork and ecrevisses which was very good but the ecrevisses were very dirty, quite off putting.
The Watch house was a revelation. In all the years we have coming to St. Mawes we have never tried it: please do, it is really good! We had the most perfect brill, asparagus, jerseys and bearnaise sauce. And went back the next day for lunch.
Altogether, we had a lovely, much needed getaway.
We discovered on leaving something, had we found it on the way in might have changed our attitude to cooking, normally our great pleasure: Curgurell farm. It is on the left before you get to St. Mawes and sells lobster, crab, fish, prepared meals, fresh vegetables and all sorts of wonders. On the right, before you get to the farm is Da Bara bakery and cafe to pick up your lovely bread and pastries.
The welcome bottle of Prosecco was the icing on the cake. Lovely.

“Perfect”

I found Shellseekers randomly while looking for seaside retreats and I am very glad I did. The apartment has amazing views and is beautifully decorated. The location couldn't be better. We went on some great walks and loved the atmosphere of the little seaside village.
I can't recommend them enough and we are considering renting one of their larger retreats with our family at some stage next year.

“'Wondeful views'”

We stayed for a short break in April and would recommend this accommodation for a couple or small family. Everything is of a high standard and finding a personalised welcome card, prossecco, sconces, cream, jam and milk waiting for us on our arrival was a lovely touch. The view from the balcony is wonderful with bi-fold doors opening out from the open plan lounge/dinner/kitchen making it all light and airy. Everything is to a high standard with even a TV in the bathroom! Everything is catered for to make your holiday a home from home. The added benefit is that it is in a perfect position in the heart of St Mawes with a bonus of having its own parking place.

Liked best: View from the balcony - layout and standard of facilities / accommodation
Liked least: No bath mat provided, shower screen not large enough - although shower was modern and high standard it was difficult not to flood the bathroom when in use.

Had a lovely few days at Shellseekers. House is exactly as in photographs. We were a few minutes walk to centre of town. The furnishings were lovely and house well equipt. We had a breakfast hamper provided. I would highly recommend this property for a couple or small family.

This rental was really lovely. The location was superb, and the best aspect was the views, which we just kept staring at. The internal space was really thought through, giving attention to its interior design, wonderful, and I guess this is what you want, when you are on holiday. Loved it,would recommend, and return.
