Description: St Mawes bakery is a local family owned business. It has been running for over 100 years now. We take pride in our freshly baked and made products including our delicious traditional pasties which are made to a recipe as old as we are. We pride ourselves that we make, bake and serve our products on the same day which are made in St Mawes itself (less than 200 m from our shop).

The steak pasties are a delight. Also the saffron buns! They've also started serving coffees and teas, with a little seating area that looks over the sea.

Forget the thousands of outlets selling pasties. If you want a really good locally made Cornish pasty its got to be St Mawes Bakery. We first came for their pasties not long after they opened and have been coming back everytime we are in the area. If you aren't staying near St Mawes, then don't despair, just pop across on the ferry from Falmouth. On the down side, they had run out of saffron buns!!!

PS. St Mawes is a Cornish gem, not to be missed on any tour of Cornwall.

We popped in here for a cream tea after the St Mawes to Falmouth boat trip (which I recommend)
Sat outside by the quay with a delightful view and had one of the cheapest but best cream teas I've tasted, scones very fresh, Cornish clotted cream and big pot of tea for £3.50 unbelievable ! Staff very friendly ( had to carry my tray out for me as had a cast on my foot) The pasties looked good so will be back to try !
