“Great lunch”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

Had a day out in St Mawes and after looking around for somewhere to eat decided on the Watch House - based on menu outside. We weren't disappointed either! Nice interior, good service, and great food. We both had fish dishes, the portions weren't huge but perfect for lunchtime. We sat downstairs and just about had a view of the harbour. About £15 pp for 2 lunches, side dish and 2 drinks. Would go back if in St Mawes again.

“Very disappointed”

Service was so slow! Food wasn't bad but not great! It had been recommended but I won't bother again.

“Great little restaurant”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

This is a great little place with friendly helpful staff - so good we went back. The seafood is excellent and, if you book early enough, the upstairs windo seats offer a great view over the harbour.

“A lovely evening”

Terrific fish and chips and a very tasty monkfish special. The staff we met were all friendly and very accommodating in terms of special requests. A great atmosphere - delicious food in a relaxed and stylish setting.

“disappointing and over priced”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

visited the take-away window on a Friday night around 8.00ish, there is a very limited menu only offering fish and chips or sausage and chips!!! The staff were unfriendly and no service with a smile. However, we ordered fish and chips at £7 and a childs fish and chips and a childs sausage an chips. We were very disappoined with the fish and chips andrealised we had indeed paid for batter and chips, There was a very very small portion of fish which wasn't even tasty! and the rest batter! the chips were rock hard and mainly fried scraps. the childs sausage and chips meal was no better - the sausage was grossly over cooked and dry. The childs fish was the only thing worth eating. Definately NOT worth the wait of around 20mins even though there was only 1 person who had ordered before me! One to avoid !!!!!!!!!
