Only had a drink here but the prices are good. The local beers are excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. The tables are cleared and cleaned quickly so no long waits to be seated.

I have daily visits to the Watch House at lunchtime, for Coffee & cakes or a light lunch, it's always a treat to go there. I have had Dinner there a couple of times, but for a less informal meal The Watch Fish & Chips are excellent from the Takeaway. The Watch House Team are always willing to oblige.

Really enjoyed my Sunday lunch experience at The Watch House - where I had a great big slab of beef between myself and my girlfriend that was presented beautifully and accompanied by some excellent veg. The price was fair for the quality of food, as you really couldn't ask for a much better traditional Sunday lunch.

We went to St Mawes for "ride" from our holiday destination. What a wonderful place, clean & spotless and obviouly a pride to the residents of this little village. The atmosphere was amazing, everybody so friendly, then we decided to have some fish & chips and because we were eating in the evening we though we would share one and although they had a wonderful take away we thought we would be cheeky and ask in the restaurant if we could sit down and share a meal. The young gentleman that greeted us said that this would not be a problem and suggested that we sat upstairs and he found us a seat by the window with stunning views over the harbour and beyond. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was second to none. When the meal came it was presented beautifully and they bought a spare plate so we could share. the fish was the best and the batter was so light , crispy and tasty, the crushy peas & tartare sauce was homemade(Ithink). The best ever !! This restaurant is a definate must when visiting St Mawes. Thanks very much.

Wonderful venue and beautiful sea side views [as the name so rightly suggests!] Would hugely recommend the Sunday Roast with a glass of red - the cauliflower cheese was a particular highlight as was the novel cow gravy boat. A St Mawes must if you are visiting!
