Nearwater Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #2 of 6 St Mawes B&B and Inns

We stayed for one night in August. It was a lovely b&b that felt more like a boutique hotel. As we arrived there had been a major traffic accident just up the road. Our hosts, whilst hosting victims, the police and other things still managed to give us the warmest welcome considering what was going on. Amazing really. The Percuil room was lovely with views over the river. White company linen, towels and toiletries was a really nice touch. Good DVD library. The breakfast was great. Try the granola. We will be back. We felt very welcomed.

Lovely twin room with top quality beds and linen. Bathroom and shower excellent best shower in b&b for a long time.

Tim and Amelia were a delight and couldn't do more to help whatever we wanted.

Breakfast also excellent. We stayed 2 nights and were well looked after. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Don't hesitate to book this one!

My husband and I had a one night break at Nearwater at the end of May. We were absolutely delighted with our stay. We had a warm welcome and Amelia was very friendly at breakfast and shared her extensive local knowledge. The room was bright (New England Style) with a gorgeously comfortable bed and lovely White Company sheets and smellies. Delicious breakfast and proper coffee. Is there anymore to ask for?
Great value, a fantastic stay, we hope to be back one day soon!

Nearwater simply is a fantastic B&B! Despite the seasonal July downpoars, we felt comfortable and relaxed in the homely environment that Amelia and Tim have created. We stayed in the Summer room and even though the sun was blocked by grey cloud, the room was bright and airy and not to mention that the bed was ludicrously comfortable! I will join the crowd here and compliment the home made granola that was provided at breakfast...very delicious! The options for a cooked breakfast were also brilliant - full english, french toast, American pancakes...it was just a shame the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon didn't make another appearance!

The B&B is located within a 5 minute walk of the harbour which is very quaint. I would reccomend The Watch House as somewhere to eat. Delicious food and excellent service from the ex-London chef.

I would recommend Nearwater to anyone and would happily return for another weekend away.

Room Tip: Go for the Summer room...more space and very comfortable. The shower is also top drawer!

Great B&B for our long weekend in St Mawes. The water taxi to Place for an amazing coastal walk was the highlight of our stay. The walk from Helford Passage to Falmouth was also fantastic!

Amelia is a very bubbly, enthusiastic hostess with a passion for excellence. Her customer profile is pretty much the same as the nearby Tresanton hotel but she charges a fraction of their price. No direct sea view it is true but everything else is there to make your stay a delight. And you are surrounded by water on three sides and it is only a short walk to the harbour front.

Room Tip: The bed in the Cabin is a bit on the small side so I would suggest Summers or Percuil for a bit more...
