Eleven Sea View Terrace

We stayed in suite 3, which has it's own terrace. The room was lovely and had everything we needed. The only thing that would have improved our stay, would have been a sea view room, but unfortunately they where all booked up. Grahame & John made us very welcome and gave us a map and list of restaurants to try, which was very useful and thoughful. They really make the effort to make sure you enjoy your stay.

I was anxious about booking one of the more expensive B&B's that I had seen, but it was certainly worth the money. So many little extra's such as a choice of cooked breakfasts (which where also very nicely done), a telly with DVD and ipod docking facility, wild flowers on the breakfast table, wide selection of DVD's you could borrow, fresh milk in the fridge...I could go on!!

Spent a few days with my wife in St. Ives after a transatlantic cruise. Our hosts were terrific and they keep a lovely place with great views of the town and harbour. Breakfast was uniformly excellent with a number of choices. Bed was very comfortable and we both slept well. Hated to leave as we had hardly made a dent in the restaurants in town. We usually took a short taxi ride to town center (about GBP 4.50) as the town is hilly, streets narrow, and parking difficult but you can walk it with minimal trouble if you're physically OK. Americans are atypical in this part of Cornwall and I always find that an advantage on holiday as I look for something different. Hope to return some day to an excellent B&B run by good guys.

Room Tip: View of town and harbour are on the 2nd and 3rd floor (British 1st and 2nd). Be sure you can walk s...

We have just returned from a five night stay at Eleven Sea View Terrace in St Ives and had a wonderful time. We stayed in Suite 3 and then Suite 1 (Grahame very kindly gave us a complimentary upgrade) and both rooms were beautifully stylish and comfortable. Suite 3 was lovely but the extra space and fabulous views from Suite 1 were exceptional. Breakfast was really good and Grahame and John perfect hosts - extremely friendly and welcoming. We would definitely return and can highly recommend Eleven Sea View Terrace if you are visiting St Ives.

Room Tip: Room 1 had everything you could wish for.

A great deal of care and design awareness has gone into number eleven - and that includes the breakfasts too. We stayed in the best of three suites and while a few pounds more expensive than the St Ives norm [it's not a cheap town, let's face it], we thought it value for money. The quality is not just evident in the marvellous position, with a fine view of the town and the bay, the large comfortable bed, the sofa and chairs etc but also in the décor, the soft sheets and towels, and the range of little extras such as fresh milk in a soundless fridge, filter coffee instead of instant, and original St Ives paintings on the walls.
Though not easy to find, it's very close to the town centre - at least on the way down. St Ives is hilly, with lots of steps, but worth the walk back - especially after you've indulged in a large breakfast, freshly cooked with locally sourced ingredients. We even had free parking, which is very hard to find in St Ives.
Graham the owner is very helpful and knowledgeable, and there are lots of books and DVDs if you need them.
I don't know if all the rooms have the same wonderful view, but ours did, and it was worth it.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The large bay-windowed suite.

Excellent attention to detail everywhere: our room was large, comfortable, immaculately presented and very well equipped. Sitting in the bay window with a good book and enjoying the view over St Ives was a real highlight of our trip. Breakfasts of high quality too.

There is parking, which can be a big issue in St Ives, though not lots of it and you might struggle if you have a large car. Its probably also worth noting that the bed was on the firm side, which you'll either love or hate. The location is great - a short walk to the town centre and all its excellent restaurants (don't forget to book, especially if you are arriving during a busy time!!).

Highly recommended.

We spent two nights at 11 sea view terrace and have returned well fed, very relaxed and looking forward to returning.

We had suite 1 on the first floor at the front of the house, it had everything we needed, a massive bed, sofa and 2 armchairs overlooking the harbour view and even a fridge with fresh milk and mineral water. The bathroom was clean with lovely local soap, and we had lots of soft fresh towels. Unfortuantely the exterior of the house was being decorated so there was scaffolding across the windows of our bedroom which did slightly ruin our view (which would be incredible), Grahame kindly left us some flowers and prosecco to make up for this.

Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented, we both had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon both mornings, there was also croissants, cereals, delicious organic toast and fresh fruit.
