“Fantastic stay at Atlantic Heights”
Reviewed January 3, 2009

We booked into Atlantic Heights on a 3-day package for New Year's Eve and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would even go as far to say this is the best B&B we've stayed at in St Ives and we've tried a few over the last 4 years!

Reuben and Marilyn (the Managers) could not have been better hosts; they picked us up from the station, ensured we had everything we needed, were very friendly (thanks Reuben for the tea and choccie bics when we go back on NYE!) and even emailed us some photos of us in our fancy dress!

We stayed in Room 4 which was pricey but worth every penny for for fantastic view of Porthmeor beach right across to Godrevy Lighthouse. The room was decorated really well and had a spa bath, which was a godsend following an exhausting 6 mile hike along the costal path to Zennor.

Breakfast was lovely - lots of choice and freshly cooked. Recommend the full english.

Highly recommended.

We just came back from a nice and relaxing weekend at Atlantic Heights in St Ives. We had such a lovely stay at Atlantic Heights. It was so peaceful and we had everything we needed. The hosts are great - very friendly. Breakfast was always cooked to perfection and very filling. Its also a short (roughly 10 minutes) walk into to town. Definitely recommend it!

The location was fantastic, we wouldn't have discovered half the delights of St Ives had we not walked through the town each evening. The room was comfortable, clean and felt like home. To top it all, the most generous hosts, Reuben and Marilyn absolutely made us feel at home straight away and served fantastic breakfasts. Of course the parking.....in St. Ives is a luxury.

Dear Reuben & Marilyn

Atlantic Heights is a very clean, warm and friendly place to stay. We were greeted by both Reuben & Marilyn who showed their hospitality right from the word go. Our room was beautifully decorated with everything you would need and has got to be the best B+B we have stayed in.
Breakfasts were fantastic, great choice and always cooked freshly and the view from the dining room is just spectacular.
When we asked for restaurant recommendations they were only too pleased to advise which was great.
We were given a welcome pack with maps and places to visit which was of great help especially when its your first time in that area, and Marilyn we did stop off at Polperro on the way home and yes it is a beautiful place and yes we also found the Fairy shop :-))

Thanks again for a wonderful relaxing stay, hope to see you next year, Kerrie and Sam.

We have just returned from Cornwall where we had an absolutely great weekend. We felt exhausted after a long drive on Friday evening, but Marilyn and Rueben greeted us very warmly and immediately made us feel at home. Added to the great welcome we found that we had been upgraded to a different room, which was a lovely surprise.

The B&B was one of the best that we've stayed in. It's situated on a hill overlooking the breaking waters of the Atlantic, and even if you don't (as we didn't) have a sea view from your room, just opening the door in the morning is an exciting experience. The room, which was spacious and tastefully decorated, was also immaculately clean. The breakfasts (there were a range to choose from) were very tasty and the ingredients fresh.

Knowing very little about St. Ives M&R provided us with a chunky welcome pack to Cornwall. They also gave us the low-down on where to go to within the town (sights, restaurants, bars, etc), but also points of interest outlying areas in the penninsula (the Minack amphitheatre which overlooks the Atlantic at Porthcurno is one we definitely want to go to on our return).

Basically this B&B is of the highest quality with a management who you really feel enjoy having you there. The weather was quite terrible while we were there but we'll definitely be back to St Ives and Atlantic Heights.

My wife and I spent a few days at Atlantic Heights while celebrating our wedding anniversary.

We enjoyed a clean, pretty and well-equipped room, a stunning view from a great location, good breakfasts, and convivial and helpful service.

Our only complaint - if it can be called a complaint - is that the bed was a lot higher and softer than we like. But - hey! - that's just us.

Another excellent stay at this 'contemporary' guest house. Room 4 has wonderful sea views and is very comfortable. Rueben and Marilyn are both friendly and helpful- nothing is too much trouble. Breakfasts are well cooked and presented. We were very fortunate to have a weekend of sun and clear blue skies. We would recommend this Guest House and rate as 5 star!!
