We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Atlantic Heights.
We booked it after reading reviews on this site and certainly weren't disappointed! It's definitely a cut above any other B&B we have been to before, with spotlessly clean modern decor and not a chintz bedspread in sight!
We stayed in Room 5, which is the family room at the back of the house and very spacious with a leather sofa, flat screen tv and tassimo machine as well as the huge comfy bed, in fact everything you'd need for a relaxing break.
It was easy to find, thanks to the driving directions on their website and we were able to park in an allocated space right outside. The location is ideal overlooking Porthmeor Beach and it's just a short walk down the hill into the town.
Lastly (but by no means least!) Marilyn and Reuben made us feel very welcome and provided a great vegetarian breakfast for us each day as well as creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again sometime in the near future.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for five nights, and although we thought it was an above average B&B and fairly good value for money, we were rather put off by the fact that the towels and bed-linen had an unpleasant, unwashed smell and the room itself was very dark. However I think a couple of the rooms overlook the sea and are more spacious, so they're probably the ones to go for. The breakfast was good and the room was imaginatively decorated, but I probably wouldn't stay there again. It was also quite a long walk from the centre of St Ives, and when you're coming back from a night on the town, the last thing you want is a trek up a high hill!

  • Liked — friendly owners, nicely decorated room
  • Disliked — unwashed towels and bed-linen, awkward location

My Mum and I stayed at Atlantic heights for 5 nights in September and I have to say I agree with all the comments made by guests
so far on this site. The location is great, a wonderful view over St Ives and a short walk into town with parking available at the
B&B.

We had room 2, the twin room, which is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Flatscreen TVs, fluffy robes and Molton Brown toiletries are all provided and the ensuite was spacious and the shower was fab!

The breakfast was certainly one of the best I've had at a B&B and there was a real choice, everything we had was delicious! We
stayed at another B&B on our way home which just did not compare to Atlantic Heights and made us realise how spoiled we had been there.

Of course the thing that is really impressive about this place is the hosts Reuben and Marilyn who obviously work very hard to
provide this level of service while making it seem effortless and who really take the time to talk to their guests without
being intrusive. They made us so welcome and create a great atmosphere amongst fellow guests, by the end of our stay it was more like staying with friends than at a guest house. Breakfast from now on will be very boring without them!
I wish them every success with their business and hope to return one day!

We originally went to St Ives for a camping holiday but after being washed out our tent and having to sleep in the car the first night we were not off to a best start. That was followed by my girlfriend being taken back in to hospital with chest pains having had a blood clot on her lung a month earlier. Finally getting out of the hospital at 8.30pm having spent the day there we called Atlantic Heights (having it been reconmmended to us) and were over the moon when we were told they had a room for us.

Now where do we start?? This B&B was the most gorgeous and friendly place we have ever stayed. We were immediatley met outside by Ruben and Marilyn who took our bags in for us and asked how we were. Telling them our disaster story they were very understanding, even pointing out which room they stayed in if we had any worries about my girlfriends condition and to wake them if we were worried. So to sum this part up, lovely lovely lovely people who will do anything to help!!!

The room - Gorgeous!! The bed was the comfiest bed we have slept in and the size of it was out of this world. The room had a flat screen tv with freeview channels, coffee machine (no tacky plastic kettle's here guys!), plus molton brown shower gels in the bathroom. The bathroom was very roomy and the shower was a lovely hot power shower. Everything was very well decorated, and immacuatly clean.

The breakfast was gorgeous. Happy to give you anything you like and the choice is better than what you would get at a hotel, you could even get smoked salmon. Sitting in the breakfast room, eating a gorgeous breakfast, looking out the window at the most spectacular sea view is by far the best way to start your day.

Overall this is by far the best B&B we have ever stayed in and definatley the best B&B in St Ives. We could not fault this place at all and will be going back there year after year!! So see you next summer Ruben and Marilyn.

Love Guy and Hannah (The 2nd part of the Waltons) :-)

Me and a friend stayed at Atlantic Heights from 29th August - 1st September this year. I have to say that it is the best B&B I have stayed in and I have been in plenty all over UK. The Friendly, Inviting couple looked after our room every day so it was always clean. The Breakfest in the morning was one of the highlights.. An amazing choice or cerial, fruit and hot food. I personally went for the fresh smoked salmon and scrambled egg with toast every morning. Very spacious B&B with our room being immaculate and new looking. Very comfotable beds, Freeview flatscreen tv and coffee/tea machine which was brilliant to use in the morning. Finally the bathroom was very spacious, completely clean and quite stylish just like the room which is also very new/modern.

Ive been to beautiful St.Ives about 30 times since i was a kid and this is the best place I have stayed in.
Great Hotel, Friendly Atmoshere, Plush Room and very short walk to High St/Harbour looking out over Porthmeor Beach.

Highly Recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience the addiction they call St Ives

  • Liked — The Friendly Amosphere and the Grest plush room.
  • Disliked — The fact we had to leave it and st ives behind!

what can we say, this is a stunning b&b with views to dye for. Me, my husband and our two children aged 7 and 11, stayed in the family room, which was very comfortable and spacious. the whole place was spotless. you could get lost in the beds , they were so big and comfy. We were spoilt for choice for breakfast.
Compliments to the chef.(yummy)
reuben and marilyn, were the perfect hosts, from the day we arrived nothing was to much trouble, they made us feel so much at home, and they couldn,t do enough for us.
We would definatley recommend this friendly outstanding b&b to anyone, with or without children.
Without a doubt we will be back next year.If not sooner.

HI, just wanted to say about our 1st visit to St Ives cornwall, luckily we managed to secure 5 days at Atlantic Hieghts B&B 11 ocean view terrace...And what a place with superb views in a good location. My partner and i had room 1 and as soon as we arrived were greeted by our fabulous hosts.. maid Marilyn n Captain jack Reuben HaHa me hearties!! Both were very welcoming and made us feel at ease and at home. welcoming drinks in hand! ( we didnt know what to expect but both were extremely lively n funny...!) also very helpful to our requirements. Like old friends the banter flowed both were v friendly and yet gave us our privacy to do as we please if we didnt want to be disturbed. The room was in very good condition as was the bathroom, both light n airy with a extremly comfortable bed hahaha! The fridge was also a nice touch. But most of all the view is AMAZING sit back in the bay window have a cuppa or watch from the bed...very relaxing. The rest of the house was well kept too. Breakfasts are a little early for lazy holidayers like us, however more than worth the effort to get up for, tasty, well presented and extremley filling (far beyond lunchtime) a good variety for various needs and individual requirements.(appreciated the fish fingers haha). The convenient location of this bfresh little B&B is 4 mins walk from the beach & 10 mins from st ives town.. which means a lovely stroll along the sea front. which more than made up for the hill climb to get back. The garden is well presented and convenient parking, we didnt use the car all week. They even lent us extra towels n body boards when we did venture to the beach. The weather wasnt the best but the cheerfulness of our hosts helped brighten the dull days. We would certianly stay here again soon..Thanks Marilyn & Reuben..for making us feel welcome and helping make the stay memorable. If you are looking for a nice relaxing convenient smart B&B get in here, nice for a romantic break and enjoy. NOTE FOR THE OWNERS....YOUR HOSTS MAKE YOUR B&B SPECIAL..LOOK AFTER THEM WELL!!£!!!

KIND REGARDS
