We had a lovely holiday. We visited lots of places nearby. Evening entertainment was very good. Unfortunately the double bed was not comfortable: plastic mattress on wooden platform is not acceptable. The owners need to spend some money updating the property to todays standards.

Management Response
Jun 14, 2016
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We have actually this year put in brand new mattresses in both bedrooms, which other guests have found very comfortable. There are plastic protective covers on them for hygiene reasons. The rest of the cottage is up to date with a modern bathroom. We're glad you had a good holiday!

“Nice Bungalow”

This bungalow is in a really nice, quiet and peaceful area - the St Ives Holiday Village. I really enjoyed looking out of the windows and seeing trees and squirrels and hearing birds chirp. It is very relaxing!
It's good sized and there's free parking.
The Holiday Village is only a short drive from beautiful St Ives and other lovely Cornish towns!
Since I stayed in December the on-site facilities were closed and there weren't many other people around. I bet it gets quite busy during summer time!
Also, it was a little cold and damp, despite the heaters and dehumidifier but I suppose that's also a lot bette during summer, when you can have the windows open all night long.
The kitchen/lounge area is nice and big, with lots of sitting and relaxing opportunities. I spent a rainy afternoon on the couch reading a book.
I did not have any mobile phone reception in the bungalow and only very little outside (probably because of all the trees), which didn't bother me much since I hardly ever use my phone during holidays.
I definitely enjoyed my stay and felt very relaxed!
