We spent a week @ Seaforth guest house 07.06.13-14. to 14.06.13. Seaforth is a very stylish guest house with stunning views in a great location near to the train station & town centre. The use of the parking space was a great bonus for us.From the minute we arrived Carl & Debbie could not do enough for us. We could not fault them, they were full of useful info & tips as they had plenty of knowledge of the area. They bought all the daily newspapers & had magazines/books & maps which we found useful. We had room 3 which had plenty of space,we could have sat in those chairs in the bay window for hours. The breakfast was the best we have ever tasted served in their dining room so tastefully decorated. We would definitely go there again. Are there any negatives? Yes! we just wished it was nearer.

Room Tip: All rooms we are sure would be good.

My wife and i stayed at Seaforth over the weekend of 14th - 17th June and what a weekend we had staying in this stunning hotel. We had room # 3 which is on the first floor and overlooks the whole bay of St Ives with a lovely Queen Size bed. After the best breakfasts i have eaten for a long time we would go out and enjoy a wonderful day in and around St Ives and come back to our room around 4pm where we would just sit and relax in the bay window of our bedroom with a bottle of wine watching the boats come in. To be honest the view was so good we came back from our nights out around 9pm so we could sit and watch the sun go down over the bay. Please do not draw the curtains when you go to bed as you will miss the opportunity to wake up and lay in bed with the sun shining through the window, the sound of the sea gulls and the horns of the boats going out to sea. The bedroom had so many lovely touches like chocolates on the bed, plenty of local magazines and books to review, lovely toiletries in the bathroom and best of all the decoration and candles was so romantic. Debbie and Carl are fantastic hosts and we felt so at ease in their home even when coming in late at night. When you are having breakfast Debbie would always make a point of recommending places to go or see and then places to eat for lunch or dinner and she was always spot on. We have waited for 5 years for our first break without the children and i can tell you now it will be less than 1 year before we re-visit the Seaforth hotel.

We stayed here for three very restful nights. Debbie and Carl are charming hosts who make you feel at home in their beautiful tastefully designed house. Breakfast lovers will enjoy their daily indulgence and for a pleasant evening its just a short walk to a good selection of restaurants and bars. We were sorry we didn't stay longer however Carl organised all our onward travel to Padstow. Much appreciated ! Levi & Rob

We made a last minute booking based on a recommendation and were delighted with the accommodation and service provided by our very welcoming hosts.
Room 1 and bathroom are characterful, very comfortable and with stunning views across town and over the harbour and sea. The decor throughout the hotel is lovely and there are many luxuries including excellent toiletries.
The room was quiet but the house is in a very good central location, close to shops, restaurants, the seafront and railway station.
We were treated to a candlelit breakfast with top cuisine - my fruit salad and scrambled egg / smoked salmon were just perfect.
We also very much enjoyed our complimentary entrance to the Tate and Barbara Hepworth garden.
A great find, thank you!

After trawling through the internet we decided on Seaforth, a good choice from what we had read, thank goodness for trip advisor it was a good choice, what a splendid guesthouse and nice people running it (well unfortunately Carl was indisposed and we didn't get to meet him but we're sure he must be as nice as Debbie, we hope he's recovered by the way).
The room was clean, comfortable and chic ..... the pebbles, chocolates and cushions (try to make them look like Debbie does every morning ...... It's not rocket science but still takes a bit of doing).
We loved the views and spent time sitting looking out of the window whenever we returned to the room.
Breakfast was a delight, well cooked and plenty of choice with no hurry to finish.
Because of Car'ls eye problem Debbie gave us the chance to go to the Minack theatre at Porthcurno and use their own tickets which with a minutes deliberation we took, along with Debbie's rugs and advice for wrapping up (thank goodness we did),what a great night out and what a nice gesture.
We really wouldn.t have any problem in recommending this guesthouse and hope to return ourselves one day.
Thank you for a good relaxing break.

Room Tip: Evidently Room 3 was great, Room 1 was great, we stayed in Room 2 and thought it was ....great.

By chance made a late and successful booking to stay for three nights at the Seaforth in St Ives last week. What luck! Close to railway and bus station, easy to find amongst the labrynth of streets, lovely rooms and facilities, terriffic views out over the harbour and such delightful, friendly and helpful hosts. I felt utterly spoilt and others did too. Breakfast was superb and a fellow guest, with gluten intolerance was astounded by the quick provision of gluten-free bread. Debbie and Carl are brilliant hosts and i hope to go back next time I am in the UK.

Room Tip: All rooms have great amenities and views, so no one misses out

Third stay and as good as ever. Carl and Debbie welcomed us as old friends as we came off the coastal path after a hot day walking in the sunshine. Room 1 is a must. Extremely comfortable and a fantastic view over St. Ives town and the bay and you have your very own bathroom; yes 'walkers' there is a bath! All the information you need about the surrounding area is available and Carl and Debbie are keen to give up to date news on restaurants and places to visit. Breakfast was great, particularly the fresh fruit salad and the full English cooked menu. The high standards here have been constant over each visit which tells us how good this B & B is!!

Room Tip: Room 1 has a fantastic bay window overlooking the town and bay.
