I only walked about 3 miles of the coastal path but it gave me a taste to do much more. As I left St Ives the rugged coastline took over and for the next three miles I was entranced by the dark green sea and the rugged rocks stretching as far as the eye could see. However after three miles it gets exceptionally rocky and rough, so I headed inland and back to St Ives.

One of the many lovely stretches worth walking. For the most part not too steep, St Ives - Carbis Bay is only 25-30 minutes with a hotel to have tea or a drink, and a lovely beach.

Walked various parts of the coastal path between Porthcurno and Portreath. Would recommend the walk from Porthcurno to Lands End as spectacular coastline. At Godrevy sands we saw a colony of seals

Lovely walk in mostly drizzle which lifted now and then. Most of it was dry but some muddy stretches after Carbis Bay to negotiate. Walked right to Hayle Causeway to see the estuary at low tide and a refreshment stop at Griggs Quay. Then caught the train back to St Ives (every half hour)

We walked between Lelant and St Ives. At times down at sea level, at others high above the waves, this was a great little walk, with occasional trains to wave at as we bumbled along the coast. In my dreams, i walk the whole trail from Minehead to Dorset. In reality, a stroll along it on holiday is a Lovely thing to do. Eccentric Britain at its best
