After reading the previous reviews we were a bit apprehensive but we tried it anyway as it was so close to our holiday home. We called our order through and they said 10 mins and after a bit of confusion cooked the order when we arrived. However, the cod and chips were amazing. The fish was skinned, the batter light and the chips had a lovely crunch without being greasy. All in all highly recommended.

you go to the seaside and you need to have a portion of fish and chips and i can highly recommend the Albatross, the staff are very friendly and the food is just perfect, and freshly cooked. A lot of the locals seem to use this chippy too which is always a good sign. Just try it and you wont be disappointed.

Came highly recommeded by the people running our B&B and we couldn't fault it. Fish and chips for £5.50 with crispy batter and perfectly cooked chips.
Call ahead and they'll have your order ready to collect.
Sauce is extra, so probably worth picking up some ketchup from the co-op just around the corner.

During a week in St Ives, we decided to have a night in (difficult given all the fab restaurants in the area) and try out the local F&C. The Albatross was the most local to us and is set up as a traditional chippy offering both take-aways and sit down service towards the back.

The place was pretty busy which gave us time to look through the very comprehensive menu, which includes fish, chips, pies, mushy peas, spam fritters, gravy etc.

We both got huge portions of fish and chips and some extras and tucked in at our holiday hire.

The food was pretty much one of the best fish and chip meals we have had. The fish tasted lovely and fresh and the chips lovely and crispy.

Well worth a visit!
