We visited last september and as we were staying in an apartment in town we thought we would have breakfast out. What a mistake. We ordered 5 breakfasts all with coffee and the coffee was given as soon as we ordered. We prefer our breakfast and coffee at the same time. We must have waited for at least 30 minutes and what a disappointment. The beans and egg were cold and the plate was cold too. Why don't they hire a proper chef. I didn't think the bar staff were friendly. I will not bother again. My advice to anybody wanting a breakfast is to go to one of the restaurants at the front harbour or McDonalds in Hayle. At least McDonalds is fresh and hot. Show the chef how to use a microwave lol. A trained monkey could do better.

It's a Weatherspoons so if you've been to one recently you'll know what to expect on the menu.I opted for the Hot Dog and chips with a free pint of Stowford Press for five and a half quid, excellent value for money and a nice meal, nicely cooked chips, a BIG frankfurter in a crispy baguette with american style mustard-tasty.

My partner went for the chicken balti as it was 'Curry Night', she said the curry was very nice, it certainly smelt good, it came with rice, popadom, naan bread and mango chutney, again with a free pint.

Service was very good, a pleasant experience in a beautiful seaside town.

Had a 14 ounce rump steak, usual Weatherspoons food, no frills but good value compared with others in St Ives.

Staff were friendly, pub was clean. Food good value, shame it's not on the front overlooking the harbour.
