“a welcome addition”

a lot of people myself included are quick to slag big companies off, and this is probably why ive avoided eating at the hain line until last week, i was out with friends and we wanted somewhere to eat at 3 o clock, most of the usual places we go stop serving lunch at 2 or 2 30 so we thought we'd give it a try, the staff were all well presented and polite and the menu was nice and varied i had a burger which for just over 4 quid with a drink i was very impressed. it tasted nice and my friends both had the carbonarra which they enjoyed.. ill definatly go there again but it would be nice if they had music to create a bit of atmosphere and make it less clinical.but overall i was pleasantly suprised.

“Rubbish”
Reviewed November 7, 2012 via mobile

They have the best chef in town he's call mike= microwave this place has the best microwaved food around. Service is poor had to wait 40mins for just a portion of onion rings and it was not overly busy. Also had to wait 25mins for a small round of shots on a night out. The atmosphere is horrible and always cold in there. Most definitely stick to the local pub that belong in st ives.

“Alreet”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

Went shopping last weekend and called in for a gander, lovely inside, especially upstairs.

We had a mixed grill and rump steak all for under £10.00, It was cooked nicely and the price of drinks is exceptional, a pint of carlsberg and stronbow £1.99 each, furniture was ultra modern nice and warm atmosphere, just hope it doesnt get spoiled by the local drab that hangs about in some of the other wetherspoons (you know the ones that are on benefits but are always in there)

“Dont bother looking at menu”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

Don't bother loking at menu just ask staff what they have left as we went in at lunch time and they had no chicken, no vegetables and no yorkshire puddings that was just the start of a bad meal. When our meals did arrive i sent THREE back because they were cold. My youngest daughters was thrown across the table at her (She is 9!) my mothers jacket potato and chilli looked like somthing the cat had bought up and mine and my other daughters burgers were cold in the middle. Oh and when mine turned up my plate had apiece of fried chicken on it just alittle bit but if they had run out of chicken where had it come from??? when i asked the waitress she said "Chicken? we havent got any" i asked her what she thought it looked like and she didnt know, I sent it back but am doutful if i got a new meal or just a new plate as it was cold food and plate. Never again thankfully we were only visiting st.Ives but i doubt i will visit another Wetherspoons anywhere.
