Having family living in Lelant we've been going to the Badger for a pint and a bite to eat for a number of years now, and we've always had a friendly welcome from Elvis (the Great Dane) and his staff. I think people need to remember that the Badger Inn is a village pub! It's not 5 star hotel or a silver service restaurant! If you're after a comfortable place to lay your head, a great pint of ale or nice freshly cooked bit of pub grub you're not going to get much better for the price.

The beer is well kept and the choice of spirits goes way beyond what you'd expect, if you're eating I defy anyone not to find something on the menu tempt your taste buds.

We stayed for 4 nights and the room was comfortable and had everything we needed (somewhere to sleep, brush your teeth and shower). There's a small tv, dressing table and enough space to hang clothes for the 2 of us.

If you're heading down to the far south west and you looking for somewhere inexpensive to stay or somewhere for a great pint and tasty pub food you won't be disappointed at the Badger (unless you hate dogs - Elvis is a big lad)

My husband and I stayed one night here. I was a bit worried about the restaurant with all the bad reviews about it but the whole stay was pleasant for us both. Our room was clean and cozy. We had bottled water in our room which we loved. The window didn't open in our room which wasn't a big deal after all cause it did get chilly but I wonder how the summers are when you do need to open them. Also the only small thing is that there wasn't side lamps on either side of our bed, not good when one of us is trying to sleep and read at the same time.

We had dinner (delicious) there in the pub. It was a great friendly atmosphere. Everyone was nice and warm. We had no bad or rude servers and our table was clean. My husband had the carvery and I had the stuffed chicken breast. Yum! Huge portions of food also. The breakfast was just as good. Very tasty and clean, polite server in the morning time also.

Parking was a bit of a pain being that we got there during the time everyone was at the restaurant and outside in the garden area with picnic tables. We parked down the street then just moved it at night when everyone was gone.

We went to the Badger for New Years Eve, it was fabulous! The atmosphere was awesome, everyone very friendly, we were greeted with a glass of champagne, which was followed by a free buffet, band and fireworks, you could not ask for more. Bertie and the staff go out of their way to make your visit enjoyable and as usual, the food, atmosphere and company was superb! Thanks

We came in on a busy night and got placed on a rather sticky dirty table, the condiments on the table were pretty much the same, after waiting a long time out order was taken by a snappy member of staff who looked like she didn't want to be there at all, we both had the carvery which for the price was very disappointing, the meat and veg were just left for hours and cold when we finally got there, we then had to wait about 20 minutes for our plates to be taken by yet again another miserable member of staff, it then took us probably another 20 minutes to be able to pay our bill. There is also a dog that stays in the bar and is very off putting when eating your dinner as he tries to get involved all the time , now I'm a dog lover but even that's a bit too much also staff members were touching the dog and then going straight back to serving people's food with no attempt to clean their hands. Overall very poor and will not be visiting again

We rarely get away together without the children so when we do we want to relax and enjoy ourselves. After a wet and windy, blustery October day we were looking for some decent pub grub. The staff were welcoming and the grub was good and the stove hot.. just what was required. The pub quiz was also good fun as we managed to help the adjoining table with 1 or 2 questions. Thank you.

We have visited the Badger Inn before and stayed for a week this time. Great Food choices including the 'specials', Shark being an interesting option. Drinks were good and service excellent. Accommodation was clean and was so impressed we have booked to return for New Year celebrations.

We stopped here during our St Ives break, with 2 very hungry children. It looked nice from the outside, and served food all day. To be honest, we did not have high expectations, just wanted to feed the kids. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were really friendly and welcoming towards the children. Everywhere was clean and looked good. We felt really comfortable there.

The food was pretty quick, and was fab. The burgers are great !! So much better than we expected. It was good quality, and plenty of it. We were so impressed, we returned on our last night for dinner and were again not disappointed.
