st ives is a beutifull town,if you want a guest house to match look no further than the GLANMOR,Margaret, dennis and paul are super hosts and will do all they can to make your stay a very happy and comfortable one.
The room we stayed in was beutifully decorated and very comfy.
the breakfasts are spot on with any tastes catered for and the fruit and yogurt not to be missed, there is a lovely conservatory to relax in if you wish and not forgetting the equally lovely gardens.
We had a lovely stay, and fully intend to return next year,we would recommend a stay at GLANMOR to anyone

My wife and I had a lovely stay at Glanmor in June 2011, and we can’t believe the two bad reviews by the “wedding gang”, who from all accounts were out to “party” to the early hours at the expense of everyone else’s comfort.

We found Denis and Margaret very welcoming, informative and friendly, as was their son who served us a superb excellent-choice breakfast each morning (try the fresh fruit with greek yoghurt – to die for!!).

The room was spotlessly clean, modernly furnished and decorated in pastel colours, with a lovely en suite, complimentary toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities with hot chocolate and biscuits (replenished daily), high quality bed linen and towels.

Glanmor is situated a short walk from the town centre, in a very quiet location, and has beautiful and well-maintained gardens, which you can admire from the comfortable guest conservatory. The icing on the cake for me was the free Wi-Fi connection, which enabled me to keep in touch with important messages, and plan our visits around cornwall.

It is superb value for money, and we intend to visit St Ives again, and we will definitely be staying at the Glanmor. Give it a try – you won’t be disappointed. Mel & Gwen (Lancashire).

Our stay in St Ives was enhanced by our fantastic B&B. This B&B was perfect from the welcome to the goodbye. Margaret and Denis were great hosts, truly friendly, with a lovely house. Our bedroom with the balconey was charming, the decor amazing, a lovely light and airy room. To have the use of a guest lounge and the beautiful garden to relax in was a bonus. To find accommodation with good off road parking is always a plus, as we travel by motorbike. The breakfast room was nicely laid out with plenty of room between tables, and the breakfast itself was exceptional, I'd recommend the fruit and yoghurt. Nothing was too much trouble for this couple. This is one B&B we would defineately recommend, and one we would return to.

Room Tip: All the rooms were lovely

We've just got back after a great 10 day stay at Glanmor. We couldn't have asked for more from a B&B. Nice room, a great breakfast (I never dreamed I would ask for fruit and yogurt for breakfast instead of a fry-up!) and great service. Our hosts couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely recommend.

I totally agree people should ignore the previous bad reports as there is no truth whatsoever in them. We stayed at Glanmor over 20 years ago and as we were coming to St Ives this year and saw that it was still a guest house and moreso that Margaret and Family still ran it we decided to stay here.I am thrilled to say that it is still the lovely spotlessly clean hospitable guest house as it was then. the rooms are beautifully decorated and spotless with lovely soft fluffy towels, and the breakfast is by far the best especially the big bowl of fruit salad and yoghurt what a way to start the day! Thanks again Margaret,Dennis and Paul for a lovely holiday.

Firstly please ignore the two recent negative reviews. We first stayed at the Glanmor in 2009. We have travelled in the UK and abroad in 4 and 5 star hotels and we recognise and appreciate good service and that is why we returned to the Glanmor in June this year. The Glanmor is tastefully decorated and immaculate; fluffy white towels, lovely bedding. The breakfasts are lovely - I particularly like the fresh fruit salads with yoghurt and honey. I fail to understand what else anyone would expect from a bed and breakfast? I think it is very unfair that someone can attempt to damage a business in this way and I strongly recommend that you ignore the negative reviews. I can only imagine what sort of people they were!

First of all, ignore the negative reviews that appear on here. The behaviour of those guests was completely unacceptable. They had a total lack of respect for the hotel and the other guests staying there. We found the hotel to be immaculate and were made to feel very welcome by Margaret and Dennis. The bedroom was a very restful place to return to after a day's sightseeing, with a small but adequate ensuite. The breakfasts were delicious and certainly left you feeling satisfied until lunch time (or after!) Someone has mentioned in a review that all rooms have a view of the sea but that is not true - they have nice views but do not all face the sea. Our room was number 7 which did not have a sea view but we would be more than happy to stay in this room again. We would certainly return to this hotel in the future and would not stay anywhere else in St Ives.

Room Tip: Request a sea view when you book if you want one
