Clean, cosy, warm traditional pub with a welcoming barman , good fire and comfortable chairs. The beer was in excellent condition ( Doom). The food delicious- trio of local fish, consisting of cod, monkfish and sole in a thermidor sauce wth new potatores and veg. All the food coming out of the kitchen looked good. There are 2 chalkboards, one with the dishes of the week and another with the specialities ( this was the trio of local fish) . We ended with a coffee and Irish whisky and we were sorry when it was time for us to go. The toilets were immaculate which is also always a good sign.
