“Peaceful and fairly easy going”

I walk this route every week but it still never fails to inspire me. A walk where you can get away from the hum drum of life highly recommended

“Pleasant coast to coast walk”
Reviewed May 5, 2012

This is a relatively new trail - around 10 miles from the North to South coasts of west Cornwall. The walk starts in St Ives, visiting the Knill Monument, Trencrom Hill Fort, various villages, and a wetland conservation area, before arriving in Marazion. The route is signposted well and the leaflet provided (available locally in the bookshop and Tourist Information Centre) is helpful. The walk took around 5 hours at a stroll; the highlights being the hill fort and wetland area near Marazion. The only downside was trying to get home after - we caught the (very expensive) local bus service. It was reliable and regular though (you need to head back to the Longrock roundabout to catch the direct bus to St Ives or else change in Penzance)!
