St Ives Harbour Hotel and Spa. Great place to stay. Wonderful views and friendly staff. Good walk into town. Meals excellent. Although the bar shut at 10.30pm on a Friday evening. Lots of step not ideal if you are disabled. Although there is a lift.

The view to the sea is delightful and the staff are nice if not top form - the main problems are the breakfast - appalling - and the decor - shabby (not chic!). So if you pay for a brekkie it is £17. and it is the same standard as a 2 star buffet ie: inedible. The coffee was dishwater, the egg hard, no toast arrived, the serving staff were brusque, the bacon not free range as you might expect from the price tag. The room was noisy and tired with peeling chairs, cracked tiles and stained fabrics although the bed was excellent - large and comfortable with nice linen and clean. No cafetiere though. Gardens had rubbish in and the spa had peeling tiles and a less than reliable sauna heater. Lovely staff in the spa. Was fully refunded when complaint raised.

Visited yesterday for a swim and to use the sauna etc. Thought it was crazy that there was nowhere to park and had to use the coach park @ £6, and not great to walk that distance in the rain.
Adding this to the cost of £15 for the swim made it an expensive day out.
On arrival was told there was no gowns left (they have 8) so was just given a towel.
The pool itself could of been abit warmer and at first the steam room wasn't working properly although this was rectified later.
The water machine was empty so had to ask for it to be filled up.
For a luxury venue I was disappointed and
considering the Penventon only charges £12 and you can park right outside, receive a towel, gown and slippers I won't be returning to the St Ives harbour spa!

Arrived at the spa and the relaxation room was lovely we were called through and asked to fill in a consultation card as they didn't get us to fill out one before so that wasted 5 minutes of our slot!! We had booked a 25 minute hot stone massage which we had 15 minutes off for £45 and the massage was terrible Aswell I was never asked if the pressure was OK or the temperature of the stones!!! My therapist name was Kristina!!!
