“Great service, great food, great value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2013

We arrived at the pub at approx 19.00, it was very busy. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who advised us it would be about 15 mins wait for a table. We decided to wait and were directed to the bar for drinks whilst we waited. After about ten minutes we were offered a table, however the waiter said if we waited a few minutes more we could have a window seat. After about 3 minutes more our table was ready. Worth it, as we watched a seal in the harbour whilst we pondered over the menu. Food orders were taken and paid for at the bar. Lots of choices on the menu which would suit all tastes. We ordered the Ploughman's platter and the Steak Pie. Both were yummy. Generous portions. Although it was very busy the staff were very attentive. Overall a great experience and would return.

“Excellent pub grub fairly priced”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

Just had Tribute ale battered goujons with the usual trimmings. Very tasty, well cooked and enjoyed. Washed down with a pint of St Austell Brewery's Trelawny ale which I personally consider to be one of the finest beers available. Highly recommend The Lifeboat Inn for anyone staying in or visiting St Ives

“Sunday afternoon drinks and food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013 via mobile

Great value food, plenty to choose from and generous portions. Good selection of drinks with a special cocktail if the mood takes you. We only 'popped' in for a snack about 3pm and didn't leave until about 7pm. Staff really friendly and made us feel very welcome. Great place for families even with young children.
