“Wonderful stay in a gorgeous cottage in an outstanding location.”
Reviewed November 20, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Stayed with extended family in this lovely cottage. There was lots of space so we could spread out in the different living areas of both the lounge and the dining kitchen as well as the reading corner, as we called it.
The double beds were really comfortable with excellent quality bedding and great bathrooms with superb showers.
Views from the master bedroom and lounge are stunning and I loved taking my morning coffee down onto Bamaluz Beach, just a few steps out of the front door.
We having been coming to St Ives for many years now but this has been one of the best locations we have stayed in - so close to everything and yet just away from the hustle and bustle so very peaceful.
We definitely hope to stay again.

“Wonderful base to explore the part of Cornwall”
Reviewed November 15, 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Second visit to Leo's with wife and or two lurchers. So well placed to walk the South West Coastal Path either way. Porth Kidney Beach a gem and the walk to Zennor is not for the faint hearted but a good pint at the Tinner's and bus back make for a great day out, even the dogs were exhausted when they got back to the cottage.
You cannot beat watching the sea in the morning having a tea in bed or sitting in the lounge with a early evening glass. So easy to walk the few minutes into town, and get some of the daily catch for dinner.
Looking forward to our next trip

“Brilliant location in St Ives”
Reviewed October 2, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Stayed for a week in September - second week of St Ives festival - with wife and adult son. Accommodation was very comfortable, light and airy with good decoration, pictures and pottery. The cottage is situated in a quiet and interesting area of the town. Although at the extreme end of town it was easy to get to on foot from the station as we decided against driving from London - we also enjoyed the spectacular views from the train on the way. The area was very convenient for the host of galleries in St Ives, for the good food, sea views, sun and moon rises over the harbour, and the coastal path.

“We loved Leo's Cottage.”

Leo's Cottage is a fantastic period property in a fantastic location. Overlooking the Dog walking beach. With great views of the Beach and Sea .
We have two 18 yr old boys and 21 yr old girl and two Boarder Terriers.

Loved the character and fell in love with the view ,absolutely perfect place in the old town of St Ives.
We Visit and stay in St Ives atleast once a year and this cottage is a perfect location.
If it had any downsides it would be peak time cost per week was high and Reckon it could do with a better Cooker . We only cooked breakfast sandwiches twice as we ate out all the time. But reckon the cooker would annoy some peeps. Not a big issue though so don't let this put you off in any way .
Thank you Sanjay and if you ever want to sell it to me for a ridiculous price please call me. and if i win the lotto i'll be giving you a call.
All the best Rob,Karen,Danielle,Matthew and Luke

Wonderful views, lulled to sleep by the waves. A comfortable cottage but could do with some updating. Beware the stairs, very steep and very narrow.
A wonderful week, couldn't have ordered the weather any better
Car parking on the island, passes for most Cornwall car parks from the library £47 for week.
Dog friendly

“Nice location but property would benefit from refurbishment”
Reviewed January 20, 2015 for a stay in December 2014

The property is in a nice location being very close to both the sea and the center of st Ives.
The property would benefit from a degree of expenditure to bring it up to the standards and expectations of the modern rental market.
Some aspects are fine - the bath/shower room on the top floor and the bathroom on the first floor but some areas are beginning to look somewhat tired. An example of this is the kitchen which would benefit from general refurbishment.
Families with both young children and/or older members of the family need to be aware that there are many changes of level within the property. On entering the property from the road you have to step down, the first and second floors are accessed via very steep narrow stairs and you have to change level yet again to access the first floor bathroom.
The property comfortably sleeps five and additionally has an area on the first floor with a pull out bed to accommodate an additional two persons. In practical terms we found the use of this area problematic. This bed is located in the main part of the sitting room at the front of the property- with the sea views and the the TV ! Therefore if persons are sleeping in this area the use of the room in general is very much compromised.

Management Response
Jan 21, 2015
The property is a fisherman's cottage which as previous reviews will testify, enjoys a great location for the beaches and amenities of St. Ives. The views are extraordinary. The property enjoys all mod cons i.e. gas central heating, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, super fast WiFi, 1 bathroom , 1 en suite, strong water pressure so good showers, double glazed timber windows. It has 2 double rooms, 1 single room and also 1 sofa bed in the living room. Linen is all white Egyptian cotton and the mattresses super comfy. My specific response to this feedback is as below :
1) Kitchen - the kitchen consists of wooden cabinets, composite worktop and modern appliances. Everything works and is low maintenance but I accept that the style of the kitchen may not be to everyone's taste. The floor is a combination of stone and wood. It's a former fisherman's cottage and not a Bauhaus villa and therefore I feel that a decor consisting of stainless steel, granite worktops, LED spotlights, rubber flooring and anything ultra modern would not be in harmony with the property. So I've kept it rustic, clean and most importantly, everything works!!
2) Narrow stairs - the property has 3 levels and the stairs are narrow compared to modern properties. However I don't consider the stairs dangerous nor difficult to climb and have had all age groups staying at my property including parents with babies and elderly disabled people.
3) Sofabed - this is in the living room and naturally enough will compromise the use of the living room when used. The cottage clearly advertises 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and therefore comfortably accommodates 5 but can stretch to 7 with the sofa bed. If this guest did not want to be compromised by the use of the sofa bed then he should really have rented a 4 bedroom cottage which over the same period (Xmas 2014) and area would have cost approx. £700 per week more.

Absolutely perfect!!! The house was amazing and equipped with everything you would need, a home from home BUT with views to take your breath away!!! We got up at 6.30 every day just to watch the sun rise!! Great for dogs as there is a beach right in front of the house which our dog absolutely loved!!!
We also saw Gavin the seal 3 or 4 times from the sitting room.
Will definitely come back and recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you for having us Sanjay, you're a lucky man :-)
