“A wonderful holiday”

We have just returned from a really lovely holiday in St Ives, staying at Leo's Cottage. The cotttage is very well equipped and comfortable. The views, as mentioned in other reviews, are spectacular and the position of the cottage is perfect - very central but still quite quiet. Bamaluz Beach is literally opposite the cottage with Porthgwidden Beach a couple of minutes to the left and the harbour and shops a couple of minutes to the right. Unlike most of the other reviewers, we do not have a dog, so our enjoyment and appreciation of the cottage had nothing to do with the fact that pets are allowed. We highly recommend this property.

“Lovely place”

This little cottage is very nice, it tastefully decorated and has a gorgeous view from the windows, The location is just great,
Bamaluz dog friendly beach which is right in front of the house and a park is around a corner make this place the perfect spot for dog lovers.
Just a small advise - if you are planning to use a sofa-bed in living room, you should let the owner know before you come there, otherwise there would be no bed linen for that sofa.

“Fantastic...wonderful...best in St Ives”

We have been coming to Cornwall for over 15 years and stayed at many holiday let cottages and nothing will beat this cottage.

We were spoilt with fine weather, the awesome view and location so close to St Ives centre.

We have a small dog that could walk from the front door to Bamaluz beach in seconds, and she loved it..:-))

But the view, from the lounge and the bedroom looking over the beach, having the sea noise as you slept was the best.

The bed was soo comfy and you really feel this cottage was a home from home.

We saw seals, diving sea birds, Dolphins and on our last night a Basking Shark arrived in our bay.

Simply wonderful

“So perfect we didnt want to come home!!”

We stayed at this lovely cottage for our "25th" Wedding Anniversary and couldn't have wished for anything more perfect. Going to sleep listening to the waves, sitting drinking coffee,(or wine) with the windows wide open just gazing at the view, watching our daughters run on Balmuz beach with the dog every morning while we had our breakfast in bed. You can keep all the fancy romantic locations abroad, this cottage was fantastic and made this special Anniversary one we will never forget. It was lovely and cosy with everything we needed. It felt like they had just moved out for the week to let us stay. The Island carpark is just around the corner nice and convenient. We cant recommend it highly enough and will definitely stay again.

“magical week”

looking to book this years holiday , finding it difficult as my thoughts are taken back to october at leo's cottage and st Ives. being able to take the lovely walks to all the nearby beaches and caffe's, the boat trip with the dolphins swimming along side the boat (luck was on our side that morning) watching the seals and dolphins from the window of the cottage, grabing coats to run outside to get a closer look. none of us wanted to leave including two 17 year olds, my husband, myself and especially Dulcie our two year old labradoodle. leo's cottage was not luxury but very homely and comfortable with every kitchen utensil you could ever need! the only down side and I feel guilty metioning it was the parking , we got two tickets during the week. got let off one, as we were unaware that we had it. I hope the information is clearer and parking is not so difficult this year. apart from that , I am sure I am not going to find as lovely as last year at leo's cottage. x

That's so good to hear! (Not the bit about parking tickets obviously). Thank you for taking the time, and you describe it all so well. Best wishes, Leo.

“Very Lovely Cottage”

This is a great place to stay if you are spending vast amounts of time in St. Ives. Once we figured out where to park (can't park near the cottage, had to park in a pay lot, but very reasonable for the week) it was wonderful. Very nice fisherman's cottage, not luxury, but comfortable, bed were great, sleep like a dream, baths were very good. You can walk to your beach right in front of the cottage and walk anywhere in town right over to Porthmore Beach on the other side of town. We loved it and being from US we did not really know what to expect and relied on Tripadvisor reviews. We took day trips out of town which was hard for us non UK drivers in the small narrow lanes, our GPS even got us lost in town along with another car behind us, but since we had been in town a few days we had an idea of how to get back. Owner was easy to deal with via email and even set up PayPal for us to make payment. Key is in lock box so no worry about arrival on time as owner gives the box # before leaving and just put the key back in the box when we left. Would highly recommend if you want a relaxing place to stay in St. Ives.
