Having finally found the museum through the labyrinth of back lanes I was absolutely delighted, amazed and inspired. The garden was breathtaking and the whole experience was worth every penny of the entrance fee.If I could offer some advise, try to take time at the entrance to read the information on offer.

How terrific to be able to touch, even embrace, the sculptures. Hepworth created tactile works, and they are so right in this setting

If you have been to St Ives and not visited Barbara Hepworth's Museum, then you have missed something special. My husband and I went to St Ives a couple of week-ends ago and managed to get tickets to visit both the Tate and Barbara's Museum. What a treat, we were also lucky to get to listen to a talk by a very knowledgeable lady and learnt many interesting things about Barbara. Her sculptures are fantastic both in the building and the garden. This is a must see attraction!

This is a beautiful little 'museum' set in Barbara Hepworth's studio and it really gives you a feel of what Ms Hepworth was like. The best part about our visit was the most brilliant talk and tour (provided free) given by a 'guide' who works for the Tate and really brought Hepworth and her home to life. We both work in education so we're used to hearing talks/lectures/ presentations but we both rated this chap as fantastic!

A beautiful garden that responds to any weather. Shapes of plants integrate with beautiful sculptures in their natural setting. Sounds from bamboo clattering and leaves in the wind make the place even more magical yet peaceful. It is worth just sitting and taking it in. Guides share their passion for the place. Worth a visit, or even a week's ticket for many visits.
