A must - to visit on every trip to St.Ives. Just to sit and relax in the wonderful setting amongst her sculptures is a privileged treat.........

Beautiful sculptures. We managed to go there at a free event so keep your eye out for these dates! We wondered around the garden with a glass of red wine each on a beautiful evening. Was so interesting to see Barbara's studio how she left it. There also a very handsome cat.

I don't think you can call this a museum as such, more an entrance to the garden. The garden was lovely and very tranquil. The day we went the sun was shining and the sculptures took on the light and shade of the trees. It only takes maybe half an hour to walk round but worth it if you have the ticket from the Tate and can find it in the back streets of St Ives

This is a small attraction, with a small indoor display/timeline of Hepworth's life and achievements, virtually no gift shop, and limited amenities. Okay, I'll overlook that because I am going to see her sculptures, in her garden, placed where she intended.

But there's the problem. If it's busy, you can't see the sculptures because there are people in the way. You can stand in a crowd touching and experiencing, or you can try to stand back and peer hopefully around other visitors, but it's difficult to really "get the feel". It might be best if they were to limit the number of visitors in the garden at any given time.

However, having said that, the gardens are beautiful and I enjoyed the different plants and the views of the bay.

Do I have any desire to visit again? I don't think so.

If the weather is nice then definitely pay a visit to the garden, the sculptures are fantastic. We spent about an hour visiting but if you took a picnic you could make an afternoon of it.
