Living locally I have often popped into Scarlets for a coffee or light lunch and have always been pleased with the quality of the food on offer. But last night I took some friends who were on holiday for dinner and can honestly say that Scarlets will give most upper end restaurants in the area a run for its money! We chose a variety of dishes and all were beautifully prepared and presented. Even the accompanying salad and home cooked chips were a gastromic delight! The fresh fish was superb, and the wine definitely superior to most local outlets.Pleasant service and a helpful taxi calling service rounded off the evening. Well done Scarlets, long may you continue.

Well well well, how often do you find the perfect little place and wonder how you ever managed without it? Our holiday to Carbis Bay would be nothing without a few visits to this wonderful little deli/wine shop/cafe/tapas bar. Yes, it is a tad odd, but in a good way! The wine selection is out of this world; extremely well thought-out and eclectic. The knowledgeable staff are always on hand to offer advice in a friendly and non-pushy way and the same staff take food orders, which leads me nicely to the breakfasts here...quite simply the best ever. Beautifully cooked, quality ingredients with THE best baked beans ever and perfect poached eggs, just fab! If you're after Little Chef just keep on driving; Scarlet's is in another league entirely. Also worth mentioning that if you come for lunch or dinner they only charge a fiver corkage for any bottle off their extensive, delicious wine list...what a find, love it.

A brilliant selection of wines, cheeses, their menu is quite varied and is very very good. Great for morning coffee & cakes or chilled wine and snacks in the afternoon too.

On the way in to St Ives is Scarlet Wines advertising breakfast so we pull in to the tiny car park.
Attached to the wine shop is a small deli and cafe. Normal full English offering with local produce. The Baked Beans are made on site so if Heinz 57 is your taste these come as a bit of a shock and personnally i would have preferred the tinned stuff. Sausages and bacon were fantastic. A bit pricey but somewhere different as the decor can only be described as eclectic. Service was friendly and quick without feeling rushed. Bread was amazing.
