“We are Heinz people.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2012

On the way in to St Ives is Scarlet Wines advertising breakfast so we pull in to the tiny car park.
Attached to the wine shop is a small deli and cafe. Normal full English offering with local produce. The Baked Beans are made on site so if Heinz 57 is your taste these come as a bit of a shock and personnally i would have preferred the tinned stuff. Sausages and bacon were fantastic. A bit pricey but somewhere different as the decor can only be described as eclectic. Service was friendly and quick without feeling rushed. Bread was amazing.

“A little treasure, hidden just off the tourist trail”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2012

A super little spot, just opposite the St Ives Park and Ride that I'm sure many people pass by without a second glance. The wine shop is excellent, if not to all tastes and price levels ( don't expect supermarket prices, but you won't get the same wines either) and the beer selection is superb.
For the food, we have had breakfast, afternoon tea and a large family lunch over the last year, and each time it has been great. Breakfast up to 11.30 is superb, great meat, perfect eggs and home made baked beans are a treat on their own.
The staff are very friendly and smiley, knowledgable about the menu, and the kitchen is very flexible on adjusting plates to take into account food intolerences. The only problem can be parking and don't forget to make a reservation just in case as they do get busy. Currently our favourite place to refill in SW Cornwall so would recommend to all.

“Great wine,fantastic tapas”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2012

We stopped off here on our way back into St Ives on a Sunday afternoon just to have a look. However we ended up staying for a bottle of wine and some tapas which was fab! A hour relaxing in the sunny courtyard, good food, good wine and great service.
