Although we stayed here only one night, it was worth it as we felt so relaxed. Beachcroft is designed very well. With wonderful showers, White and Company soaps, hardwood furniture and sea views, it is perfect and restored my faith in British B&Bs.
From the moment you arrive you are made to feel comfortable - we were given ice water and tea while the owner got the keys and we did the paperwork. This is the first time I have received such excellent service. The owner even helped us arrange for us to leave our luggage in St Ives before we got the train.
The hotel is situated just above Carbis Bay. This beach looks wonderful but walk to the beach and don't drive as the car park at the beach is very full. There is a beautiful walk along a wooded path to St Ives. It is only 15 minutes but I would not recommend it for those less steady on their feet. The road way takes slightly longer to St Ives but is slightly less scenic.
The owner of Beachcroft recommended a restaurant in St Ives called Black Rock which is definitely worth going to. The mussels with chorizo are fantastic.
Although it is quite expensive, you do pay for what you get and this is definitely worth it.
