In previous years have popped in here for a coffee, but this year I noted when walking past, that the cafe had adopted a tapas style menu. Definitely had to try it!
First came for lunch with 2 friends and shared about 8 -10 plates of delicious titbits! Salt 'n pepper squid with dipping sauce, cauliflower fritters with chilli jam, deep friend halloumi, figs wrapped in parma ham with blue cheese etc. etc. A great place to chill out with a bottle of wine or two!
So good was the food that we came back again, this time in the evening on our own to watch the setting sun. As well as the savoury tapas we also shared the pudding tapas! Yum! Affogato - vanilla icecream over which you pour espresso coffee and amaretto, a melting choc pud with icecream and a rhubarb fool with crumbly bits!
A great way to eat! Will definitely be back next year!
