“Fantastic tapas with great sunset views .....”
Reviewed July 29, 2010

In previous years have popped in here for a coffee, but this year I noted when walking past, that the cafe had adopted a tapas style menu. Definitely had to try it!

First came for lunch with 2 friends and shared about 8 -10 plates of delicious titbits! Salt 'n pepper squid with dipping sauce, cauliflower fritters with chilli jam, deep friend halloumi, figs wrapped in parma ham with blue cheese etc. etc. A great place to chill out with a bottle of wine or two!

So good was the food that we came back again, this time in the evening on our own to watch the setting sun. As well as the savoury tapas we also shared the pudding tapas! Yum! Affogato - vanilla icecream over which you pour espresso coffee and amaretto, a melting choc pud with icecream and a rhubarb fool with crumbly bits!

A great way to eat! Will definitely be back next year!

“Excellent Setting, Excellent Value”
Reviewed July 28, 2010

The location of this restaurant is fantastic, right on the beach - a great place to watch the surfers. The food, excellent value - the pork belly was fantastic, probably the best I've had. The tapas was really good, my daughter was hooked on the salt and pepper squid. The children's menu was excellent and my son loved the homemade fish fingers. All in all a great place, so great that we had to eat here twice on our recent trip to St Ives. We will certainly be returning.

SUPERB!!! We booked our last night here with 3 small kids. Genious simplicity in decor meets it's equal in quality food. I had to read the menu 3 times. Their desserts were.....how much??!! £1.50 a throw!!!!!! I had 2 of the most deliciously gastronomic desserts ever! All are tapas style portions which is perfect. If you have a sweet tooth I defy you to spend more than a fiver and not be full on 3 different michelin star quality afters! Finally a place I can take the kids...not be ripped off...and enjoy superb food in a superb location!!! Thankyou!!!

“Very good - try it”
Reviewed June 15, 2010

Located right on the beach with great views. Informal style with plastic tables and chairs.
Inside and outside eating areas.
Food is presented in tapas style which allowed us to try a selection of dishes. We had cauliflower fritters, haloumi, mackeral, calamari and parma ham with figs; all were £4-5 each. Lutzville Chenin Blanc wine was excellent. Desserts were also tapas and excellent value at £1.50 - two small ice cream cornets, grilled banana and rhubarb fool. Service was good. Total price £46 excellent value.
